If the original mirror is not shattered you can mount this on top of the old mirror. If the original mirror is badly broken you should probably unmount the plastic mounting plate and clean off all the old glass and double stick tape. Then mount the new mirror on the mounting plate using the double stick disks.

I broke my passengers side rearview mirror (only) backing out of the garage. Most replacements were difficult to replace. Then this one became available. Just peel off the backing and stick it over the shattered glass. It’s secure and the easiest to apply and so affordable.

This product is great! I broke only the actual mirror on my 2016 CRV, but I could only find the entire housing with mirror for sale elsewhere. I saw this and figured for the price it was worth a shot. I'm so glad I did! My mirror was pretty busted, so I used a heat gun to loosen the original adhesive. A little heat along with a large putty knife popped the broken pieces right off. I scrubbed the backing plate down with rubbing alcohol per the instructions, let it dry, and then stuck on the provided adhesive pads. The mirror is a perfect fit (as shown in the picture). I knocked the whole project out in about 30 minutes and for a lot less than buying a new mirror with the housing. Highly recommend!

Perfect fit for my 2014 CRV. Tip: separating the old mirror from it's backing is futile. Unless the original mirror is completely shattered, just stick the new mirror on top of the old one. It's much easier, quicker, and will likely hold for the life of the car.

I do not recommend this for a 2016 CRV. it is the right size but, it is not heat compatible and does not have a clip. Unfortunately I will have to buy another one.

This item is merely glass mirror....not a replacement for a broken CRV mirror. I can't imagine how it's listed as a replacement. A real replacement mirror has a backing plate fuzed to the back of the mirror. It includes the international mounting bracket, heating wires & side sensor assembly. You can just glue it over a cCRV mirror....it's missing the above components.I do not know what value it offers........I bought one and returned it immediately. Plan to spend $70 to get the correct replacement mirror.
