Looks and functions just like the more expensive brands. I don’t know how other reviewers were having trouble with this unless it was being grossly misused- I have been moving 20-30” 10ft long tree trunks around with it without issue. That said, while it does work fine for these larger logs, its sized more for 12-20” logs due to overall length and hook size. For the money, it’s perfect.

I have had this tool in use for 3 years, and it hasn't been on vacation !! Stays unprotected outdoors, remains rust free and moving freely. I have repeatedly used it past it's practical limitations, many times, causing it to slightly bend the shaft, so I welded a small garden t- post on the back and it's still going today, buying another to gift to a neighbor, I specifically searched this one again as it has excellent value for the $$, not up to professional daily use, but close, more than most will need at about half the price of others, highly recommended....

I live in the redwood forest. The constant need to saw downed trees and move logs around is a normal part of life here. I finally got this tool.I can’t believe I didn’t get this sooner. It’s well made and finished. Makes the second half of a sawing and cleanup day a breeze. I highly recommend this. The 48” length is perfect, even with large logs.

It's very sturdy but doesn't grip the logs very well, seems to just peel the bark. That said, it can be modified to improve its grip fairly easily. I have a couple of ideas that will improve its performance. That said, it is as it was advertised. I will make it work after my improvements.

Just right for logs around the yard. We moved 14" logs about ten feet long. Easy to turn.

Bent on first using with one arm .I'm a good size fellow but think this thing was made with bubble gum .
