I am in LOVE with this scratch map! I did a lot of research before I bought this one and couldn't be happier. These are all the reasons why it's the best one out there -1. The size. I got the largest at 34" x 24" and it is PERFECT. I have realized that with a smaller map I would not be able to see nor would the map be able to really differentiate between the smaller countries. I am a travel fanatic so I want to keep meticulous count of what countries I have and haven't gone to yet.2. The FOIL REMOVAL TOOLS!!! A lot of maps don't come with ANY tools so you have to use a coin. I have friends who have had to use a coin on the popular black background ones and because of the texture of the coin and the low quality of the paper it really makes the map look bad and does not give a nice, finished look. I love that this map comes with a special tool (kinda shaped like a guitar pick) but ALSO a special tiny tool to be able to accurately scratch off those smaller countries! It also comes with a magnifying glass so you can be as accurate as possible! I have attached a picture of the whole set they send you.3. THE INSETS!!!! From my picture you can see that all 4 corners of the map have blown up insets for those areas of the world with a lot of smaller countries/islands! I like how it just makes it easier to see overall where you have gone. I especially love that Europe and the Hawaiian islands are insets!4. The STATE/PROVINCE LINES!! So, like I said, I am a travel fanatic and I want to see every part of every country. I do not want to go to British Columbia, for example, and then have no choice but to basically scratch off all of Canada. Or have gone to Western Australia but having a map with no state lines and having to scratch off all of Australia or make my own partial scratch and have it look messy/bad. A lot of maps don't include the provinces/states which is just another thing that makes this map stand out! This map also has all of the US states divided up (love this because I also have a goal to get to every US state so want to keep accurate track), it has all the states in Mexico, etc etc. It's fantastic!!!5. Country Flags!!! This map also has the most world country flags out of most every other map I looked at. A lot of countries aren't recognized by the UN, but they still consider themselves an independent nation. This map shows them all and I love that I can keep an accurate account of where I've been with the flags as well.6. Shows ALL the islands of the world!!!! Again, I am a travel fanatic and also have a desire to visit as many remote islands as I possibly can. Most maps do not show any of them, this maps shows all of them!!!7. The color. I know a lot of the popular ones have the black background, but I actually really like how this looks like a for real map. It will look really nice framed as opposed to the black more plain, cheap looking ones.8. The quality. This is a high quality map with thick, glossy like paper!With other maps, besides many not having proper foil removal tools, they also are sometimes MISSING stuff! For instance on one map thank goodness for the review otherwise I wouldn't have caught that it did not have the Hawaiian islands AT ALL! Also I have read in reviews that some maps are not cartographically correct and look all wonky/mutated. I wanted my scratch map to look like a real and professional looking world map. THIS map is cartographically correct!To top all of this off, this company has EXCELLENT customer service! I was looking for a frame potentially with a mat and they were always responsive, kind, and SO above and beyond helpful!So, if you are looking for the perfect map to document your travel adventures, look no further!

This just came in today and I got right to working on it. Some borders are still a little hard to see (Armenia/Turkey border I am looking at you), but I think that would be similar with any map to be honest. The level of detail is pretty astounding since several large countries are divided into sections. I do appreciate that Israel is listed as in some other maps it is listed as Palestine exclusively with no mention of Israel. Palestine is pointed out as West Bank and Gaza.

Exactly what I was looking for. Bought one for each member of the family and framed it without glass or plastic so we can each keep track of our travels and can show it off on a wall. Love the details in each corner so we can show the specific Hawaiian islands or Caribbean islands visited.

Been married for 34 years. What a treat it was for my wife and I to look back over all those years and scratch off where we've been. Helped us recall some wonderful memories. Thanks!!

This is a high quality map! Very detailed, elegant design and made in the USA. So fun to scratch off the places that I have visited. I highly recommend this map!

The map is fun and for the most part they did a good job. I was excited about all the nations included, like Palestine....but they got the flag wrong (green and white stripe were switched). Maybe mine was a fluke though.

Elegant, clear design, looks like a real map, crammed with city names and flags of places I've never heard of. A map you can really learn something from as you scratch it away!
