I really didn't expect to like this product so much. I'd read negative comments and it hadn't put me off but had lowered my expectations. What do I like? It feels like it nourishes my hair. With other shampoos I would usually use a conditioner but I don't need to with this one (although a matching conditioner is available). The smell is pleasant enough. It rinses out well. A bottle lasts well. I can use it every 2, 3 or 4 days and my hair doesn't fel greasy inbetween. It doesn't stain the sink, bath or shower curtain. It does add lustre and depth of colour to my ageing brown hair. What don't I like? It is expensive, so shop around. One reviewer commented that it covered her grey making it look like nicotine stains and I know what she means, but be patient - a few more washes and the colour deepens. Overall I'm happy and would recommend. Hope this helps you choose.

I didn’t expect this to work, but it did! I am 72 with quite a bit of grey hair. Yet even after the first wash I could see the difference and now after 10 days, there is not a grey hair left. My hair looks like it used to when I was young. It looks so natural and I can’t believe it’s so easy to use. I used to have quite a few hairs come out after I had washed it, but now the comb has none in it!

I'm writing this review because I scanned these reviews looking for the answers that I wanted. First off, my hair is very dark brown so I had my reservations when I read the spec and it was for brown hair. I can tell you that it is perfectly fine for dark hair and it is maybe only noticeable under direct sunlight but if you wear hair product it does hide it a little bit more. The main downside is how long it takes for grey hairs to darken. my grey went through a spectrum of colours that started with yellow and gradually got darker. I expected this but I did not expect it to take a month. Personally, I did not have a major concern with the duration of the colour change but I could why some people would. Provided you're a willing to wait atleast 4 weeks, if your hair is pretty much black, it's absolutely fine. A bonus is that my hair looks and feels great.

Stops hair loss - I would say it probably helps - I use a certain other product and this autumn less in the plughole. But you need to leave it on about five mins, and this does not sit well with me. Enriches colour - a little, but maybe ten mins would help more. Cleans hair - it never feels nice after using this shampoo, sort of rough, and grubby. So I finish off with a light wash of a body building shampoo. Would I buy again - probably, but it is not the wonder product I hoped for.

Im a lady in my early 40s, with dark brown hair. I didn’t want to ‘dye’ my hair because I don’t have loads of grey hair, and I know women much younger than me, who have from the first, and they have ruined their hair. So! This shampoo has been perfect! I don’t use anything else! It doesn’t completely cover your grey hairs,-I have really dark brown hair though,-but they are a slightly lighter shade of brown to my own. However! No one else has noticed! Also unlike a dye, I can use it in the shower whilst washing. It’s hassle free. Use exactly like a shampoo. No gloves required. You just have to leave it on for 5 minutes. Due to my age as well, perimenopause is just around the corner! So the worry of hair loss, loss of vibrancy etc was in the back of my mind also. Another reason for avoiding dyeing your hair all the time! So after using this shampoo, even my partner was shocked at how healthy the colour of my hair is! How silky and soft it feels! And I was thrilled to bits to see how much less hair came out when showering! Hardly any! I highly recommend this product. I will only use this product now for the foreseeable future. It doesn’t completely cover your greys, and unfortunately it doesn’t smell as nice as normal shampoos,-but I’m more than happy with nice little brown ‘high lights’ in my hair, and how little hair falls out, and how strong and healthy it has become at such an important time in my life when it’s needed the most.

Its good shampoo but colouring taking a bit time

This restorative shampoo really delivers on colour & shine, possibly boosts volume too, however do be warned that in my experience it takes a few days for the hair to adjust, I find it makes my dry hair a bit lack lustre for the first few days after washing in, but thereafter it really looks healthy and has a wonderfully even natural looking tone.

Bought this because I couldn't be bother to dye my increasingly greying hair. I would say I'm probably about 10% grey, and this turns them into natural looking highlights. They grey's are still visible, but blended. It doesn't stain the bath and towels come out spotless after a machine wash.
