I’ve had this water distiller for almost 10 days now and have already made about 25 gallons of water. Honestly, it’s all common sense, especially if you follow the instructions. After each use, I simply take a microfiber towel, lightly wet it (not too wet), and wipe the bottom to remove any leftover debris. It doesn’t get 100% spotless, and there is a slight burn mark on the bottom, but the instructions clearly say to clean that about once a month using the cleaning solution they provide. So no problem there—just follow the instructions. The water comes out very clean. I use it for both drinking water and my humidifier. A nice bonus is that during the winter, the unit releases some warm air from the top, which helps keep my family room a little warmer. Overall, it’s a good deal. I only had one issue, and it was completely my fault. One time I didn’t put the lid on 100% correctly, and the water leaked out the side—an entire gallon spilled onto my table. That was user error, not the company’s fault. Now I just make sure the lid is on tightly, and there are no problems. Why four stars, the amount of heat this gadget puts off is warm enough to heat a room in winter like a space heater. For half the year in this climate it’s not a great device. So for a few months would recommend store water distilled. For my use anyway. If you need a LOT, like if Thai is for your drink in or whatever daily use, be aware this device will make the room many degrees warmer and an air conditioner or other means for cooling a room like central air will need to be turned up. The only thing a fan will do is distribute the inferno around the space. I bought a distiller for water to use with my fancy steamer. Sure a steamer makes a little heat but it’s directed at clothing for a short period of time. I enjoy dressing nicely for church and activities. Upgraded to a standing steamer you can hang clothing on. Read reviews from people who must not have read the directions. Tap water is a no no, and even my ProOne filters water has minerals so it’ll mess up the steamer. Over time. Or require a whole lotta special cleaning that will be impossible for this upscale device. Not sure how I’d get all the parts clean of mineral build up. Next best thing is use proper water. The distiller needs to be cleaned but it’s not difficult. Also, charcoal bags need to be purchased to replace bags after a month of regular use. Less often with less use. I’m either a weekly or monthly user when I work on multiple pieces of clothing. I already have a water filtration system for drinking. ProOne is the best under Berkey. Since they refuse to do testing for reasons they consider valid decided to go with the next best option. Distilled water doesn’t have similar nutrients unless you add them which seems redundant when being able to create water that comes with heat benefits. This thing works so slow it wouldn’t produce enough water, but could create enough heat to offset the winter heating bill lol. Seriously. It’s an obnoxious warmth. I don’t wish on anyone on a hot summer day who needs water, too. For the price think this is a great find. For our purposes. For a large family or practical daily use have nothing to compare it to. Not sure I’d use it for anything other than water for the steamer. The direction manual is clear and easy to understand. The device itself is simple to set up. Make sure to read the directions. It explains the smell when open in the box. How to run a cycle with the supplied citric. And other very necessary must does to have this distiller happy and humming for as long as you need to use it for water ever reason. I’d thought about using it in the cellar but the hot hair would only drift up through the vintage duct system. So, no bueno or no good for us. We like that cool basement air to fill the house and maintain a standard that requires barely any air conditioning on the second floor in summer. Hope this is helpful to anyone consider in a distiller. For what this provides I’m happy with the purchase. Very affordable in comparison to other models. I like Vevor. Have had great success using different appliances and tools from them. I’d recommend this distiller as long as you know what you are getting into believe you’ll be very happy

I would like to preface with the simple fact, I do not have a long standing time with this product for any sort of extended usage, what I have is such an outstanding short time with it that I felt it necessary to review. I pondered purchasing this product for a bit before actually getting it, I needed it for a diffuser because my tap water has so much sediment in it you could quite literally taste it, and the thought of purchasing a gallon of distilled water almost a day for dealing with my high altitude dryness seemed a bit overwhelming, I also want to move away from the primo trips as I am a big water drinker, so I made the leap and good god have I noticed the difference. It actively runs fast enough to keep up with all my water in take, I have been slowly filling up my primo station and consistently keeping my diffuser topped off which I have been struggling to do at 50% power with filtration and I am not having any issues with it at 100%. By the second day I looked into my tank to see the residual sediment left from the distilling process and I have been sick to my stomach thinking of what I have been consuming, granted this the remnants of roughly 3 gallons worth of processed water, but jesus, having 3 gallons worth of tap water reduced down to 1 cup of sludge is a disturbing thought. The taste is amazing, there is no funkiness, there is no metallic taste, there is nothing but good clear water. If you are thinking about purchasing it, I would do so, I encourage it, I will hop back on here if it fails within a reasonable amount of time to update this review, if not, know that I am hydrated and happy with this purchase still.

I bought the VEVOR machine because I wasn't going to pay $5+ for a gallon of distilled water on the rare occasion I can find it, nor am I willing to replace my Keurig coffee machine annually. Our rural well water is very hard. We have an industrial grade water softener but it doesn't eliminate enough minerals to keep from destroying a coffee machine in less than a year or so. I also use a CPAP so I need distilled water for that. The pandemic has caused distilled water has become nearly impossible to find, even now during spring of 2023. On the rare occasion I can find distilled water in the store, it is horrendously over-priced. I've been using the VEVOR for about a month now. It works as advertised. Seems solidly built tho it is somewhat clunky to use. It takes up a lot of counter space while in use, so be aware of that. Unless you have a lot of counter space, this thing will probably not live on your kitchen counter. You'll have to figure out a place to stow it. That place needs to be near a sink for ease of filling with water and cleaning. You need to rinse out the mineral residue after every use. That's where the clunky part comes in. There are two AC cords. One cord connects the condenser (top unit) to the base (boiler unit), the other connects the base to your wall outlet. Both MUST be disconnected for cleaning or you could suddenly meet your maker. The base unit (boiler) is too tall to fit under most kitchen faucets. It is not submersible! You'll need a hand-held sink sprayer to rinse it out. It comes with a small amount citric acid, enough for 4 or so cleanings. You use that to dissolve and clean out the inevitable mineral build ups. Citric acid is cheap. Eventually you'll need to buy some once the limited supply they give you runs out. The instruction manual is some weirdly worded translation from Chinese into something that resembles English. But the operation is pretty obvious so you should be able to figure it out just from looking at the machine. It just boils and condenses water. It's not rocket science. The blue plastic collection bottle is poorly molded with rough edges where the cap screws on. No matter how tightly you screw on the cap it will leak unless you carry it completely upright. I suppose that could be fixed with a little bit of sanding or perhaps a cobbled gasket stuck into the cap. It's not enough of a deal for me to worry about. I'm not freaked out by a few drops of distilled water dripping out of the bottle as I carry it. Summary: It didn't cost much. If you only need a gallon of distilled water every other day or so, this unit should work out fine. It's not idiot proof, you have to be a bit careful with it.

I’ve owned three of these. The first lasted about a year—just outside the 12-month warranty. The second made it only six months before it started shutting off randomly mid-cycle, often before the water even boiled. It now requires constant manual restarts to get through a single gallon. I bought a third, but confidence is low. When I contacted Vevor for warranty support, they asked for video of the problem—then told me to upload it through a system that doesn’t even accept video files. Their own documentation lists only static image formats. The upload link they provide sends you to WeTransfer, which then tells you to email someone. Meanwhile, they suggest contacting Amazon for returns, even though Amazon won’t handle a warranty claim after the return window closes. In short, the product is cheap because it’s not built to last, and the warranty exists mostly on paper. You’re buying a short-lived appliance with the expectation of no meaningful support. If that tradeoff works for you, fine. But know what you’re getting into. Update: After 12 days of trying to get support for my second failed unit, I can confirm the warranty process is a bad-faith stall. I sent photos and uploaded the requested video using their own WeTransfer instructions, then posted the link in the message thread. Instead of reviewing it or addressing the issue, they repeated the same generic instructions and dragged the process out without resolution. Eventually, Amazon had to step in and issue a refund because Vevor refused to honor their own warranty. The product is cheap for a reason—and if it fails, you’re unlikely to get meaningful support.

This water distiller is easy to use and works perfectly. The water tastes fresh and clean, and the 4L capacity is great for daily use. Very happy with this purchase!

I’m very impressed with this. It works wonderfully, and is more sturdy and well constructed than I expected. I had been looking at several of these, and this one happened to go on sale, so I grabbed it. It easily makes a gallon of distilled water in several hours, but if you fill the pot with boiling water, it takes about half as long. It also comes with a clear blue plastic water bottle for easy storage. It is larger than I expected, weighing between seven and eight pounds, and 16 inches tall — about the size of a substantial coffee maker or blender. I’ve only had it about a month, so I cannot comment on its longevity. Fingers crossed, because I really like it.

le distillateur Vevor est vraiment utile , marre de boire des microsplastiques , calcaire , résidus , marre des pfas , nitrates et autres saloperies , marre d acheter de l eau en bouteilles cheres et pas toujours au normes strictes . vous obtenez de l eau pure à partir de l eau de distribution ( robinet ) avec le Vevor et vous rajoutez un peu de sel d himalaya ( sel rose ) pour la minéraliser a votre gout . j ai acheté le modele basique mais le modele avec timer est préférable . aucun regret , a voir dans la durée .
