Nice shine! Used as a natural redhead
My hair is softer and has a nice shine. First photo is my natural red color (haven’t been in the sun much this summer so it leans more brown) and photo two is my first attempt using the glaze. I didn’t have gloves so I don’t think I used as much product as I should have. Will be trying again and updating my review!

Auburn Spice Glaze brings life to dull natural redheads
This is for the auburn spice color. My hair is virgin/natural auburn but my color has been turning darker and more brown with age. I have long, semi thick, wavy hair. I took a shower, shampooed twice, then liberally applied the glaze. It came out of the bottle easily and applied smoothly. I let it sit on my hair for about 10 minutes then I rinsed it out. It did not stain my face or hands (I thought it might at first but it washed off my skin easily), but it has left some marks on my shower where I didn’t see it/wash it right away. I used less than half the bottle of glaze and probably have two more uses from this bottle. Results: my hair was immediately softer, smoother, and shinier. I didn't notice any change in color initially and I thought it didn’t do much, until the next day at work. I got quite a few comments about how vibrant my hair was, and how pretty it looked. I took a photo 24 hours (photo on right) after the “before” photo (on left) and realized that my hair did indeed look more vibrant auburn! I haven’t washed my hair since the initial coloring, and only wash my hair 2x/week so I hope the results lasts a while… Now I’m in love with this product. I will try using it on clean, dry hair next to see if that makes it even more vibrant.

Auburn = orange and no staying power
My natural hair color is golden light brown that looks a bit red in the right light. I wanted to put more natural red tones in my hair so it would be more of a red mahogany/rose brown. I got the auburn color. My hair was mostly virgin, just a couple rounds of very low lift demi permanent color a while ago. I shampooed my hair, did not condition, and let it dry completely. I put Vaseline on my face. Then I sectioned my hair and applied the glaze. I ended up mixing the glaze with a little water as I went because it is pretty thick. It took probably 20 minutes to apply and then I left it on 15 minutes or so, then rinsed with lukewarm water. (In hindsight, because this is such a subtle color I probably could have used thicker sections and gotten it on my hair faster). I think the dye caused some slight irritation on my neck. Luckily it didn't dye my skin or scalp too badly. I was kind of disappointed with the result. It just seemed very subtle and like the dye didn't take. Then I realized it did take, it just wasn't the color I wanted. I wanted a stronger neutral red tone. But my hair came out a slightly gingery orange, caramel brown. If there was red, it was extremely subtle with the dominant colors being brown and orange. I wish I'd tried the cherry color instead, but moreover I think my hair could probably handle a much redder dye and still come out a natural red-brown. Red is so hard to get to stick to hair, especially unprocessed hair like mine. The good news is on day 1 my hair was shiny and a darker, richer color. I couldn't stop touching my hair, it felt so nice and soft. Turns out I didn't have to live with orangey hair very long because after one shampoo, the color was almost gone. There is a very slight green tinge in my hair now, nothing too bad. If I had liked the color, then next time I would keep it on for an hour and use the blow dryer on it to help it stick to my hair. My hair is also not very shiny anymore so I guess the gloss effect wore off too. It definitely stained my counter and sink. I would say covering your counter and sink with something like plastic wrap so it doesn't get stained is absolutely necessary. When I finished I immediately scrubbed the stains with baking soda+dish soap and water and let it sit overnight and that got the stains mostly off. Do not use vinegar or anything acidic. It didn't stain my bathtub because I was careful to rinse it out of my hair under a full stream of water and not let it splatter.

Overall good, not meant to dye your hair
Left is before, right is after. I felt like I needed a change and didn’t want to commit to a full dye. I followed the instructions, but covered all of my hair. Made my hair feel so soft. Color didn’t last super long, maybe 2-3 washes, bout a week. As everyone else has mentioned, the bottle is a pain in the butt. I emptied it into another container first before I started dyeing. I used it like a dye, but I think it’s meant to be used kinda like purple shampoo, just bringing out the highlights of red in the hair. I did flick some on to my wall, it did stain and will not come off. Got some on my counter and it came off after a lot of scrubbing. So if you have marble/anything porous then you will want to use some cardboard like I did. I have about one half to two thirds left. I would buy the brand again, fantastic hair mask. Color didn’t stay as long as I wanted. Bottle is a pain in the butt. Overall pretty good. IT IS NOT A HAIR DYE

Worked perfectly
So I am a natural redhead. It’s auburn, so it’s a dark reddish-brown. It’s basically impossible to color match. Anyways, about a year ago I wanted to go blonde. I decided after 6 months the upkeep was too much so I wanted my natural hair color back. I used wella and it ended up coming out more of a brown color so I did a light bleach bath which worked but it left my hair extremely dry to the point of it being dangled constantly. It also left me with what looked like highlights and I despised it. I wanted to try overtone but alls they have for redheads is an orange color. I came across this and got it because it was half the price. I went with auburn spice because it says it adds mahogany/brown tones which is what I needed. My hair feels so soft. The color looks exactly like my natural red too I couldn’t be happier. I washed this out in the laundry sink because it does take a bit to wash out. It smells amazing too and my hair feels soooo soft and healthy, it isn’t damaging at all. It says to leave it in for 10 mins, but I wanted these highlights gone so I did 20-25 mins. Totally up to your preference though! The first photo is the after, the second is my hair before. I also had a few inches cut because of the bleach so it left my hair looking stringy and in desperate need of a haircut. I did a blowout on my hair and I am in love with it all over again.

Blonde to Auburn - Gorgeous Color!!!
All I can say is WOW! Little background, I did my last round of highlights Jan '25 and I've been growing out my natural haircolor since then. I didn't want to permanently color my hair since I'm trying to go natural but it would be too short for me to do a big chop and it look good. I decided to try this glaze because I really wanted a change but nothing permanent. I put the Auburn Spice glaze on my dry hair and let it sit for 35 min, rinsed it out and voila!! Gorgeous, beautiful color!!! I posted a pic of my hair before the glaze, after indoors and after in sunlight. Simply stunning, shiny, healthy looking and a nice change without the commitment!

It did nothing. Maybe less than nothing.
It….did….nothing. I’m giving it two stars instead of one because at least it didn’t damage my hair. But it did absolutely nothing for it. I’m a natural redhead with very healthy low porosity wavy hair that goes roughly 5 -6 inches past my shoulders. In my forties, the richness of my dark strawberry blondeish auburn mix color has faded. I’ve used several brands of color masks and glosses previously to try to find the right shade to return it to its original shade. It took over one month for this to arrive which is annoying but I was excited to finally try it. The bottle design is as horrible as other reviews warn so I was prepared to dump it in a bowl after an extended time period getting it out of the stiff bottle. I used an entire bottle and was glad I bought several just in case that first bottle didn’t have enough. I sectioned my clean damp hair and saturated each area carefully then let it process for 25 minutes. Minimal staining to my sink that came off with bleach and very little staining on my skin since I wiped it off quickly when it strayed from my hair. It’s not a messy mask and came off of surfaces and skin as easily as other brands do. Rinsed with cold water. It did not leave my hair soft. It did not make it shiny. It added zero color. Zero. And my hair was more frizzy than it’s ever been. I wasted a full hour with this process after waiting a full month for it to arrive. I’m disappointed but at least it’s not damaged or dyed bright orange. I’m glad it worked for others and am surprised it didn’t for me since my hair grabs color well. But I definitely wasted my money.

0⭐️, awful
i had really high hopes for this, but the minute i applied it and it washed off with just water off of my forehead, i knew it was going to be bad. the only positive things are that it made my hair much much curlier, which i loved, and also that it comes off of skin very very easily. i am super pale & have sensitive skin, and it caused no irritation or staining. the reason it comes off so easily is because it is absolutely awful. i applied all over my hair, and let it sit for about 30 minutes , after doing test strands for the directed 10 minutes, i figured longer time would help. it didn’t. i rinsed it out and there is absolutely no change at all. i am brunette, and i ordered the auburn spice. there is no change to my hair at all. i had been looking forward to this all week, and spent an hour long applying it to my hair, and there is nothing done. not even to mention the bottle. the packaging is terrible, first the seal was barely glued on, i believe it was already half open. second, the lid is bad for the type of tint that this is. it is thick formula, with a very small spout. after taking the lid off and just squeezing it, i had to use two hands by my 3rd section. i had high hopes as this is “award winning” but it is the worst hair product i’ve had.

Subtle difference
It's an OK product. The differences in hair colour and texture after use are very subtle (I have natural/ uncoloured brown hair). But it didn't cause hair damage, which is a plus.

Really great gloss product.
Product made my hair really shiny and vibrant. I have darker brown hair, so auburn spice didn't exactly pop, but I expected that. What it did, was give a warm reddish-brown tint, almost like a dark copper. I do have some highlights that are dyed over, and they have lightened, so now that hair is more auburn then the rest, giving a really nice, dimensional look. the product looked fine, smelled good, but I was expecting a bigger bottle for the price. I guess we'll have to see if it lives up to its 10 washes claim.
