I purchased this during Black Friday week... month... and I couldn't be happier with the value. It's immediately apparent that this is a quality drive, with a good weighty metal enclosure and well-spaced circuitry. The rubber casing may not be to everyone's tastes as dust will stick to it; however this is my only gripe with the hardware, and I appreciate that the rubber does a great job of absorbing minor impacts. The USB-C cable is a sufficiently short length so as not to cause clutter. There's also an LED indicator light for read-write activity. I use this drive with my M1 Pro MacBook Pro and have had no issues with compatibility. Works well with any formatting, though I would recommend APFS since that was designed for SSD storage. Read and write speeds are not as advertised - I'm getting approximately 940mbs read and 870mbs write, but this isn't a fault with the drive, rather it's the Mac itself and Apple's odd refusal to step-up. Even at the real speeds I'm getting however, it's still blazing fast for everything that I need to do. For instance, a 7gb package will transfer in around 7 seconds, which is pretty astonishing. I couldn't be happier with this drive and only wish I had purchased another for my Time Machine!

The best SSD thus far... incredibly fast compared to my previous hard drive with an incredibly reliable cable that doesn't flake out mid transfer. Very happy with the portablity of this device and has excellent storage capacity for many large files. Very rugged and high quality shell so it you can worry less about scratches and dings. Doesn't slow down when running heavy tasks on it. Very easy to setup and use. Excellent modularity across multiple devices.

Now have a couple of these as I found the first one so useful. Quick, reliable, pretty much bullet-proof and effective. I'm using one for an in-car recording system and it seems utterly unbothered by the heat or the large number of writes - 2 years in and still going strong.

Breathed life back into my ten year old 27” imac. Apple don’t care about ecology because my preference would have been to buy a mini mac and connect it to my 27” iMac as a monitor but you can’t. So booting off this drive works a treat, it’s not mega fast but it is decent. The drive is tiny and light so fits under the screen and is barely noticeable. It’s portable so I can us it on my Mac book pro’s as well. Went to buy another one and the price was £349 as opposed to the £279 I paid in June !

Sin duda, es rápidísimo y rinde con creces para tareas como máquinas virtuales y para trabajos multimedia. Otro punto a su favor es la incorporación de un software propio de Samsung para contraseñas, que cuenta con cifrado AES256 en el disco duro.

Faccio video su telefono, GoPro e drone ecc e ho tutto qui dentro! I tempi di trasferimento sono rapidissimi, perfetti per chi lavora con file di grandi dimensioni o fa backup frequenti. Cosa mi è piaciuto: Velocità di scrittura e lettura molto elevate⚡ Design sottile e leggero, ideale da portare ovunque🏃🏻 Costruzione robusta, resiste bene a piccoli urti e cadute💥 ⚠️ il prezzo non è tra i più bassi, ma la qualità e le prestazioni giustificano la spesa. In conclusione, se cerchi un SSD esterno affidabile e super performante, il Samsung T9 è un’ottima scelta. Consiglio!
