Flying Insect Trap for Fruit Flies & Gnats, 1 Plug-in Base & 3 Refills

My apartment has a bit of a pest problem so this is nice to help mitigate some of the gnats in the kitchen. The blue light doubles as a night light and has caught a few bugs here and there. Won’t catch a roach but great for other creepy crawlies without being appealing to my cats. Glue traps are hard for me to have because my cats are curious so this was a great solution.

So surprised at how well the Zevo works! We have 3 dogs frequently going in and it of the house so flying insects have been a big problem, especially gnats. In one day the Zevo caught many gnats, as well as a couple of flys, moths, and those long legged flying insects. In our house one Zevo isn’t enough so I will definitely be ordering others. For someone who just has a seasonal gnat or fruit fly problem, one Zevo will do the job. No chemicals or anything that would hurt our pups. The blue light makes a great low-light night lite but for a room that a night lite is not preferred, the light is barely noticeable. Ours is plugged in about 2 feet from the kitchen sink and I always forget it’s there, even at night. The cartridges are super easy to change and there is no risk of touching any of the dead bugs. We took the trash out before I thought to write this review so I don’t have pictures but I will add some before the next cartridge change. For those who are wondering how long a cartridge lasts, it just depends on how bad of a bug problem you have. We have a big problem and just replaced the dirty cartridge with the 3rd refill. So worth it and the reduction of gnats in our kitchen is amazing. Getting a replacement screen for our back door to keep out the regular fly sized insects but keeping the Zevo cause it does wonders on the real tiny gnats that we didn’t even notice we had. Now if we could just train the dogs to close the door behind them ;) Highly recommend!

I’ve been really impressed with the Zevo traps. They are easy to set up, quiet, and much more discreet than traditional bug traps. I especially like that there are no strong smells or messy sprays involved. I was surprised by how many small flies and gnats they caught within just a short period of time. They’re also convenient to leave plugged in and let them do the work. I would definitely recommend Zevo traps to anyone looking for a simple and effective way to control flying insects indoors.

The first month it attracted no flies at all but business picked up the second month and I now have a fairly good collection of flies. However, I still have to use my swatter regularly as well as sticky paper on the kitchen windows. In other words it helps with the problem but definitely doesn't solve it. On top of that I ordered a set of refills as a bundle and two months later they have not arrived but cannot cancel because they are part of a bundle. It does make a pretty purple night light but the trap must be engaged for the light to work. Seriously doubt I'll bother with it next summer because refills are expensive and hard to obtain.

This summer has brought many a fly into my pie. “Don’t leave it on the counter!” you may be saying. What I would say to that, is “Amateur hour! Everyone knows pies are best at luke warm room temperature, left on the counter. The problem was that I didn’t want to share it with all of these flies. When I say all of these flies, I don’t mean one or two. I mean 46,876 little black stinkers. There were so many that when I vacuumed, flies filled the bag. Every time I opened my mouth to sneeze, or to take a bite of food, all I could feel were flies wriggling around. I knew that something had to be done, and that whacking them with newspapers wasn’t gonna cut it. Good things come with patience; I’ve always told myself. But this came without any patience at all. This puts into question my inner morals. I have always firmly believed that good things must take at least 48 hours. Every time I bake a pie, I wait 48 hours to eat it. Every time I get a present, I wait 48 hours to open it and another 48 before I use it and another 48 before I put it away. But I got this on the incredible deals of Amazon Prime Same Day Delivery and this one moment has changed my life because now I require instant gratification. My favorite activity now, is scrolling YouTube Shorts, like Smisk.Steve. Any video longer than 5 seconds = immediate scroll. (Unless it’s Mr. Beast, because he might give me money.) But I digress. There Zevo was in my hand, practically the same moment that I ordered it. I plugged it in, hidden to the human eye behind my bananas, but visible to the 3-6,000 simple fly eyes of the common fruit fly. The instant that the flies came into a 20-foot radius, they were attracted to it. You’d think there was a fly disco jamming inside the Zevo that they couldn’t resist. It was like they had waited their entire lives to see the Zevo light. Just kidding. They actually seemed to not even notice the glow of the blue light calling forth, “Big Fly, Little Fly, Red Fly, Blue Fly, Fly Pie, Fly Guy” and instead they avoided it like chickens to a chicken dinner. At least at first. I had to initiate patience mode again. I waited exactly 7 days, while only one or two seemed to be attracted to Zevo. I knew the problem. The ones that didn’t want it were the nutty ones. They had a mental problem in their brains that made them not want to go to the Zevo party. But after a week, they were cured! Every last one of them flocked to the party. Now, whenever my fly eggs turn into flies, they go straight to the Zevo by the instinct of their forefathers. Would I buy it again? Don’t have to. It cured the fly problem and is so durable that I never seem to need another.

This product is exactly as advertised and works really well on the little flying insects that seem to be impossible to catch in your home. Whether they are fruit flies, drain flies or some other nasty little bug the Zevo takes care of them. in addition it seems to hold up very well, is bright enough to also serve as a small nightlight, and there is no smell at all. Great product for the prices.

Holy cow! This thing is amazing! I've had it for not even 3 days and it completely eliminated my gnat problem! It has caught more 20 of the fsckers without any poison the gut-wrenching stench of rotting food or vinegar bait, and I can't recommend it enough for tiny fliers. That said, I'm not sure about effectiveness with larger insects like flies, but for gnats/fruit flies this product is AMAZING!

I think the photo speaks for itself, especially considering this is only after a week of being plugged in. If I have one complaint, it's how expensive the replacement cartridges are given all it is is just a sticky pad. I imagine someone could 3D print a model for a DIY cartridge and then put double-sided tape on and have the same effect for cheaper. If you want to catch mosquitoes, they are not automatically drawn to artificial light so this will not lure them in. You would need something that attracts them through CO2. Given all this is is a light and a sticky pad, it is not create any odor. It is effective in catching fruit flies, flies, and pantry moths. It's appearance is visually appealing and hides bugs that it catches. As far as reusability goes, it's not amazing as it relies on a cartridge business model where they sell you expensive cartridges that are basically sticky pads in a unique shape that click into the device.

I switched off lights and left it on during the night, next day it captured most of Gnats that were annoying. I did not expect that number of gnats. First night catched 11. *For Arab and Gulf countries, you need an adapter as the switch is an American switch. No need to change the voltage to 220v.

It has been more than a day since we plugged in. We left it on in the night with other lights switched off. The area has a lot of fruit flies but it has not caught even a single one.

Product not compatible with UAE plugs you need an adapter. Only a couple of flies were caught but plenty are flying around.
