Re waterproofed an old tent - seems to have work effectively
Helped to waterproof an old and much loved tent where the old PU layer had degraded and the seam tapes had started to come loose. Had to wash and remove the old PU layer and tapes, then applied this to the seams and another product to the fabric. The nozzle and brush attached to the product bottle did not work well for me and leaked, or came out inconsistently. I found it was much easier to apply this by pouring what I needed into a cup and then using a small paint brush to apply it to the seams.

Things to consider
Very easy and quick to apply to a seam, no-matter the changing line direction of the seam. Easy to see where the fluid has been applied, as the track of the application is slightly glossy in appearance. It is possible for some of the fluid to escape through stitching (as the consistency of the fluid is very watery), so check it has not gone seeped through; and if it has remove it. For the same reason, be aware that if the fluid does leak through and is left to set, that it will bond with various even slightly porous surfaces. One bottle of this fluid was sufficient to cover the seams of my entire extra large raincoat with some fluid left over. The end-results have been great.

Brush bottle makes an easy job
Did a great job sealing my US spec tent, (not really rated for UK weather). Easy to use and quick drying

Sealed my gazebo roof
Brilliant ! My gazebo leaked between the seams over our furniture. This has worked a treat. It appears to be holding up at the moment. Only time will tell how long it lasts for.

Gear Aid Seam Sealer
Excellent product. Seam sealed my tent. Very easy to use. Use a small paint brush instead not the brush provided. Would recommend this product.

Perfect for my tent!
I used Seam Grip FC on the seams of my camping tent and it worked perfectly. Super easy to apply with the built-in brush, dried fast (about 2 hours for me), and left a clean, barely noticeable finish. Since then, even after heavy rain, not a single drop got inside! One small tube goes a long way — I sealed the roof and side seams with no issue.Highly recommended if you need to quickly seal or reinforce tent seams before heading out on an adventure.

Works good... So far...
Applied this sealant to my Wilderness Logics Tadpole Tarp this evening, I had researched the sealants and am glad I did.Look up your material and get the right stuff. If you have a Polyester/Nylon based tarp, this is the stuff for you.If you have a Silicone/Nylon (Silnylon) Tarp, it is not. Look for a silicone based sealant.I'll take it out this weekend (with the expectation of rain) and give it a test run.It applied easily enough, make sure the tarp is tight as you apply it, as it needs to fill in the sewing holes in the flat-felled ridge seams. I added a second coat approx 30 min. after the first, it didn't peel up the first coat at all. If you have tie-outs on your tarp, I'd coat both sides, as these can have bigger holes than a normal center ridge seam. The only complaint I had was the brush itself, to me it seemed a little coarse, but at a 1/2", it worked well at spreading the product on the seam. My preference would have been a finer, less stiff bristle set, but not a big deal. Taking care not to apply too much is the key, as it can be difficult to see the sealant coming out of the center hole. When done wash the brush under cold water BEFORE it dries on the bristles. No cleanup info on the packaging. Overall a 5 star product...So far...UPDATE:2 Aug 12Tried the seam sealer and let it dry per manufacturers directions. Stored tarp for about 2 weeks before I got a chance to use it.When I unfolded the tarp, the glued seam stuck to itself a little and peeled a small amount where it was painted on. This didn't ruin the tarp or the applied product, just thought it was noteworthy. I coated both sides of the tarp where it had tie-outs. I asked for the maker to provide them on both sides. While it did rain heavily for approx 30 minutes, the tie-out fabric was still a litle damp, but sealing the tieouts decreased the amount of water considerably.Tie-out tabs were damp, but not dripping as they were prior to sealing.Product does the job well, as long as the end user applies it to a clean surface and takes care to do the job carefully.Still a five star product in my book!
