Very Quick and Simple
I love how these strips and the safe swim have made testing my inflatable hot tub easier, and i also no longer have bad skin reactions due to knowing the exact level of free chlorine in my hot tub.

Good product
Pleased with this. Quite simple to use and now much more confident in the results than trying to assess the colour on a tab.An expensive item but worth it to ensure you are on the right track with your water quality. Its used for our Endless swimming pool.Be aware you only get a small supply of the reveal tabs which are required for each test. So you will need to add this cost at about £17 per 50. I purchased the Free Chlorine and PH ones which for most will be the main tests you will want to take.

Great for hot tubs and finally getting away from test strip colour matching
I was sent this digital water tester, the Safe Swim Meter, to review, and as a hot tub owner wanting to ditch manual testing strips for a while, I was excited to try it out. What surprised me the most was how far off my testing strips had been. The Safe Swim Meter provided me with accurate readings for Free Chlorine, Combined Chlorine, Total Chlorine, Copper, pH, and Total Alkalinity - if you're a Bromine user it will measure Total Bromine.I discovered that my Chlorine levels didn't last as long as they should because my pH was too high. This knowledge allowed me to adjust the water chemistry accordingly, and my hot tub is now maintaining the perfect balance. The digital display is easy to read, and the testing process is quick and straightforward. No more fumbling with testing strips and trying to match colours! I love how this digital meter saves me time and effort while providing precise and reliable results.Overall, the Safe Swim Meter is a fantastic bit of kit for any pool or hot tub owner. 5/5

Kept my pool running healthy
This is really handy, I found the quality of the equipment to be extremely good and it performed just as I would have expected. Great features which enhance the usability of this device all in really good.

Works great for pools
We bought a bigger swimming pool for the kids in the summer and I’m glad we managed to get this because we kept the pool up and started using chlorine tablets because of the amount of time it took to fill up the pool. This worked great and ensured the water was safe enough to use after we had used the tablets overnighted My wife and I also used it when we went away to a lodge that had a hottub just as a trial and ensure the water was good.

Very accurate compared to strips
This is a pretty good little bit of kit, it takes a while to read through the instructions and work out what to do but once you done the first test it’s fairly easy to do the rest. You need a seperate Strip and seperate test for each measure so the testing can be time consuming. However the results are much more accurate than the strips and leave you with better piece of mind that your water is where it needs to be. Especially useful if you struggle matching the colours on the old test strips. The biggest issue is the test strips take 30 seconds do so all the tests. This machine takes a couple of minutes each test by the time you’ve cleaned the pot, set to zero. Put in the water then added the correct test strip. If you are looking for very accurate results though then it’s worth the wait. It’s an expensive unit and you still need to buy replacement strips but it’s a good tool if you use your hot tub a lot. Comes in a tough little carry case. Good quality and good value.

Expensive but accurate
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had a hot tub for over 15 years. The cost for normal test strips are roughly £5 to £10 for a pack of 100 strips. Ok, they’re not 100% accurate but for a home tub or pool not in public use, I would say they’re as accurate as you need.To buy the strips for this device are over £15 for 100 - and only measure one thing. ( PH etc) So even though this is an electronic tester, you still use test strips that it reads to provide an accurate measurement. For the average set for a tub, you would need PH, bromine/chlorine, alkalinity… so that’s £5 for 100 normal strips or £50 for 100 of each for the digital tester? After realising you need to unscrew the bottom of the tester, I installed 4xAAA batteries (not included) and eventually managed to hold the spring loaded cover back on.I was excited to be able to test this, but the fact you still buy strips that are 3x the cost of normal strips - and only measure one level (separate strips for PH, Bromine, Alkalinity etc) means this is no cheap solution and in my opinion (15 years of perfect testing and balancing of our water) an expensive overkill.Shame as I was hoping it would replace test strips which would make the cost reasonable over time. For professional use I would probably recommend, but for home use, it’s an expensive overkill having to buy strips as well.Measuring my tub, it provided a LO reading for PH and a numeric reading for bromine. Took 4x longer to test my water with the digital meter compared to basic strips and I had to look up the levels it should be. (What the numeric reading meant).Unless you can remove the need for test strips, I I can’t see any benefit over standard colour coded strips.

Highly recommended
We purchased the Safe Swim Meter for our personal swimming pool and hot tub at our villa in the UAE, and it has truly exceeded our expectations. The device is incredibly easy and convenient to use, making pool maintenance much simpler for everyone. We primarily use it to test for free chlorine, pH, and alkalinity, and we've found the readings to be both accurate and reliable.Compared to the traditional tablet testing methods I've used over the past 40 years of owning and managing swimming pools, the Safe Swim Meter's reagents are much easier to handle. This is by far the simplest and most precise testing system I've ever encountered. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free pool maintenance solution.
