Grasp the nettle and buy a bamix!
Professional, sturdy, fast, easily cleaned. Add 'Slicey' to this processor and you have a kitchen implement that does many of the taskd donr by a food processor! We started hanblender life many years ago with a 'Billy' and have gone through many good brand makes including philips, braun, another philips etc etc until we realised we were spending a lit of good money replacing stuff which normally lasted about 3 months longer than the warranty. So now we've spent more on a blender with the Bamix, but according to the blurb, we have a 10 year warranty.Over the last 10 years we have spent more than the Bamix cost replacing machines than if we'd gone strait for buying this very versatile machine. Hold your breath, click on buy and for once you will hear a man say.........Look what I've bought, it has saved me a fortune!.

Bought to use in a cafe, the longer shaft and upgraded motor make this an ideal choice
This is my second Bamix, and if you have not used them before then you are in for a real treat. They are superbly made, and really do the job in hand so well, I use mine all of the time, and have bought this one for a cafe that I am involved with. The professional range has a slightly more powerful motor and the advantage in this case of a longer shaft, perfect for larger pans of soup. I use mine for so many different jobs around the kitchen Making mayonnaise Making dressing and sauces Making soup To name the three main uses Bemis are excellent and well, well worth the extra money in my humble opinion.

The product is of a very good quality and this is already my second one in our professional kitchen. There is a misleading information on the Amazon UK. I was surprised that the machine for the UK market would be different from the rest of EU. It claims to have 2 speeds 12,000 to 18,000 rpm but when the package arrived on the box it said 2 speeds 10,000 to 17,000 rpm as in the EU.

Chef review
I am a chef at a nursing home. Some people I cater for need their meals pureed to a consistency contains no lumps or fibers at all. I have used various sticks over the years and to be honest a good Kenwood triblade model does do a great job of pureeing but the problem in my experience is they don't last. The detachable models do mean that the chance of damage to the item increases not to mention that liquids etc seep through into the chamber. The Bamix 350 I bought initially disappointed me reason being it couldn't completely and smoothly puree minced beef and other meats and rice/pasta etc in an adequate time. Also after blending for a while they were barely passable. So I bought a Hamilton beach capsule/jug blender for the tougher to blend to a smooth texture items but I am happy with the Bamix 350. It is great for pureeing veg and fruits and fish pies etc. I use it for whipping cream it literally whips in under a minute! I use it to blend stock cubes very quickly. I have used it to smooth out a bechamel and mornay sauce it does a fantastic job. Yes I'm a chef but sometimes I use angel delight which I layer with different flavours for easy puddings I leave it for our evening meal server the results are astounding if using the correct blade it whips it so light and packs it with air, baloon whisking doesn't deliver the same results. I have a smaller 160 model at home and it too delivers good results. Re the 350 The blades you use do make a difference yes you can use the multi blade to whip cream etc but using the appropriately designed blade does make a big difference I saw this when I used the multi blade to make a latte versus the proper beater blade. I did whip skimmed milk and yes it does work sweetened a little it is similar to the aerosol cream in other words you need to use it asap. I think that because the Bamix is a single unit it will last and it is really well made. o I also use it for in the pan blending and it works great. It is also really useful for Yorkshire pudding and pancake preparation it also works well at mixing up Victoria sponges etc, we have a stand mixer though. It's so much quicker to use the Bamix than to use a hand whisk and it's quicker to clean. Only issue I have with cleaning is you do need to remove the blade to check nothing is lodged behind it also some of the blades can have build up in the centre hole that sits in the drive shaft so again you need to remove the blade. Would I have bought this had I known all of the negatives? I think I would but I would purchase the 200 model as the 350 is quite long and I don't think everyone in the kitchen can manage it that well. I think having a160 at home and knowing how well it works if using correctly that a 200 would most likely have sufficed. Using the Bamix at the correct angles also makes a difference as does how you handle it however all that info is in the instruction manual. I recommend buying a Bamix cookbook as well. Mayonnaise and hollandaise sauce are by the way a sinch with the Bamix! For me now though Bamix really is the best if using it for what stick blenders are designed to do. Braised pork chops etc really need to be in a specialised capsule blender designed to cope with very hot food, so ninja blenders are a big no no!

Didn't live up to expectations
I bought this after hearing my mum rave about it and, being a bit of a kitchen gadget fan, expected to love it. It hasn't lived up to my expectations though. Pros: 1. It makes wonderful smoothies, soups and batters in seconds. 2. It is high powered so liquidises very quickly. 3. It is a durable brand that should last a long time. 4. The handle/grip feels comfortable. Cons: 1. I find the blade extremely difficult to remove for washing and usually have to ask for help. 2. I don't like the fact there is no kind of safety mechanism; I suspect you get used to this but I nearly lost my fingers the first time I tried to remove the blade as I accidentally pressed the on switch at the same time. I know that sounds a bit daft but it is pretty easy to do. I recommend getting into the habit of unplugging it immediately after use to stop this happening. 3. You must use a tall narrow container for mixing (not supplied with unit) unless you want to be cleaning your mixture off the walls and ceiling! 4. It is very expensive for the limited functions it performs. 5. The wall hanging bracket is flimsy and not suitable for the weight of the unit. Personally I much prefer my Cuisinart food processor and have relegated the Bamix to the cupboard for occasional use; there may be more washing up with a food processor but a good one performs more functions and is safer in my opinion.

Love the Bamix Gastro 200!
Had a bamix for years and used it nearly every day, so when it eventually stopped working decided to buy the bamix with a longer shaft. I love it even more than my last bamix, it chops, blends and even mixes cakes so saves me using my mixer. My 5 year old grandchild loves using it too, with supervision of course. Despite it being expensive it is well worth the extra money especially when making soups in my pressure cooker and then blending the soup in the pan with the bamix, having a longer shaft is a bonus.

Professional Blender
Family could not believe I paid this much for a hand blender but boy am I pleased I lashed out and bought this Bamix. The shear weight and finish on it reeks quality engineering. It takes just thirty seconds to blend the thickest vegetables etc into a creamy puree. It washes easily and the three mixing fittings take a second to change. Expensive compared to other blenders but if you want a professional tool this is the one for you.

Kutu açık, ürün muhtemelen bir kaç senelik, ucunda ufak oksitlenseler var.
Ürünü hemen her gün pastanemde kullanıyorum.

Repito, PERFECTA

Best immersion blender, 8yrs. going strong!
I've owned my Bamix G200 for 8 years now so it's very durable and it's in perfect working condition. It still looks like brand new condition on all finishes. I use this on soups and at least 3 times a week on mixing protein drinks. This machine gives lots of power and is one of the best immersion blenders in the business. I have even used it to make fresh peanut butter. In soups it will pulverize in a minute, so be careful if you want some chunks left. It does a great job at really pulling everything into it to be blended extremely well. Having two speeds lets you control really well what you want blended. Perfect size for protein bottles and shorter soup pots. You can literally rinse this blender in hot water to clean off (I use a soapy towel down it and in all nooks/crannies) then rinse. No louder than any other blender. If your considering a cheaper brand, I recommend you spend the money and get this model.
