Toppers tend to pull out hair they are clipped to, maybe just a few hairs at the time, but over time hair becomes thinner in that area.However, this topper has a larger base for the clips. On me the clips are off the crown more on the upper side where I have much more hair.I am thrilled about the larger base, the amount of hair, and the quality of the hair on this topper. Also, there are nice colors from which to choose.I used to buy toppers from UniWig. They have very nice toppers but they are too expensive. This wig is comparable to UniWig products.There were no reviews when I made this purchase but I took a chance and ordered anyway. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. I like to have 2 or 3 matching toppers so I can wash one, wear one, and have one on standby in case of emergency (like getting paint in my #1 hair while #2 is air drying and not yet available—true story). I always air dry because a hair dryer can damage hair and I want these to last as long as possible.I will definitely buy more of these toppers.Update: the topper has split ends but in my opinion that makes it look more realistic. Maybe I should not have given such a good review because the price has gone up—a lot. I bought two of the 12” for $120 each. Check price when you order. Regardless, I do still really like these toppers.
