Nice fit, well made
Works great to extent the height of my rod holder. Fits tightly to my attwood holders. Strong, didn't flex or torque under the load of a snag or big fish. Well worth the money.

Good buy!
The extensions work very well! I needed something to keep my spinning reels clear of the top sides of my 17' Crestliner while in the holders. They now sit up high enough that I can point the rod tips down. I was a little bit worried as far as the strength of the holders, but was pleasantly suprised when I hooked up with a 47in Muskie trolling for walleye. They held up great, and do exactly what I was looking for.

by Marjorie's husband: I needed a way to mount a temporary VHF radio antenna on my boat and already had Attwood Rod holders. But the antenna needed a base and to be elevated. I was ready to sacrifice a rod holder but got on Amazon and started looking around and found this!! YEAH! Today I fit a 10 inch piece of conduit into the deep hole of this extension, after filling it with Marine Tex. then did the same for a 2 foot antenna extension and pushed it on the other end of the conduit. Let cure. Screw antenna into the glued antenna extension. Now I can stash the antenna under the gunwale rail while fishing, loading, or trailering then pop the antenna into one of the rod sockets while I'm underway. Seems quite sturdy. Might not be the original use intended but I'm confident it will work well for me. I've busted too many of the fixed or ratchet swivel mounted antennas and this will save me $$$.

Perfect for Atwood Kayak mount
I purchased the Atwood adjustable rod holder and mounted it in my sit-on kayak. The rod holder was too close to my legs and made fishing and paddling uncomfortable. This did the trick and put the rod holder up out of the way. We tried it with another brand rod holder, but it seems that everyone's attachment splines are different enough that they are not interchangeable.
