has good and authentic audio material and is easy to follow
I am a German teacher for adults and use this series a lot. It is very clearly structured, has good and authentic audio material and is easy to follow. If you want to use it beware, this edition here covers only lessons 1-13, you need to get the additional book A1.2 textbook (Kursbuch) in order to cover the whole A1 level. It is a bit cheaper to buy the whole Kursbuch. I would also recommend the "Intensivtrainer A1" with additional exercises, the "Arbeitsbuch" (workbook) is great if you want to learn at home but you need this Kursbuch here (textbook) in order to be able to use it. If you need German for work, I'd also recommend the "Berufstrainer" of the same series.

Hueber社から出た新しいテキストです。CEFRレベルでA1〜B1を、全6冊で網羅しています。 構成もイラストもポップで見やすく、最小限の内容でドイツ語の読む・聞く・書く・話すが 身につくように作られています。 非常に優れたテキストですが、おそらく電子黒板がある教室で、先生について学習することを 想定して作られた本なのか、テキストのリスニング素材や映像がDVDにも入っていません。 （付属のDVDは音声と映像の一部と学習用のミニゲームのようなもの、 別売りのMedienpaketに全てのリスニング素材と映像が入っているそうです。） そのため、独習者や電子黒板を持たない教室運営者の方には、やや不向きかもしれません。 独習者の方は同じくHueber社から出ているSchritteシリーズやThemen Aktuellシリーズ等を使われるか、 どうしてもMenschenシリーズで学習されたい方はKursbuch＋Arbeitsbuch＋Medienpaketを セットで買われるのが良いかと思われます。
