I was searching for the drip pan accessory for the SnS and stumbled across this thing. It was on sale and had a much bigger water reservoir so I pulled the trigger on it.Wow, this is legit! It seems like a solidly-built accessory that should last for a very long time. It holds an entire teapot of hot water for long cooks, and makes for an excellent heat sink, helping to hold temps steady.I believe this gadget helps two ways: (1) lots of humidity with that big water tray, and; (2) all airflow is directed up through the fire because it contours to the sides of the Weber Kettle; much more efficient than the square stainless steel drip/water pan I was using before.The first cook was some beef ribs and smoked shotgun shells. I probably filled the charcoal side 3/4 full of regular blue bag Kingsford and some chunks of oak and cherry. That amount of fuel lasted for five hours. Had a little trouble holding the temps down because there was so much fuel.The second cook was brats. I used a charcoal snake set-up and got much better control over temps.Third cook was baby back ribs. Incredible. I was able to dial-in low and slow extremely well. Snaking the charcoal up against the baffle is the way to go. The ambient temp never rose higher than 250 degrees throughout the entire cook (but I did have to add charcoal and start snaking back the other way after two hours or so).The big water pan does a great job of keeping temps from jumping around provided you don't get too big a fire in the first place.As for the food quality? Top notch. I have detected no difference in meat doneness closer or farther from the fire baffle. Everything came out moist and smoky and barky with no overdone parts.Excellent product and great value for the price. Stainless steel makes cleanup easy. Five stars.

I was looking for a quick and easy option to smoke and found this accessory for turning my existing kettle to a smoker for a relatively reasonable price. The pan is made from a single piece of heavy-duty stainless steel with edges welded together to form a circular shape and should last for a long time.For the setup I found it very easy to create two zones for cooking and keeps the Kettle clean from all the drippings. I smoked one slab of pork ribs and it was one of the best ribs I have ever made. Great bark and smokey flavor. I used lump charcoal and some hickory wood chunks. I put some lit charcoal on one side and then filled the rest with more unlit charcoal. I had plenty of charcoal left after 5 hours of smoking. I added about 32 OZ of water to the pan to keep everything moist. Also, I lined the pan with silver foil as I didn’t want to go through the trouble of cleaning all the grease.

I really love my Smoke and Sizzle! This is a well designed product that takes the place of both a charcoal basket and a drip pan. It holds plenty of charcoal for a long low and slow cook, I got 9 + hours at 225 F on a cold Minnesota day (20F air temps). The integrated drip pan / water pan holds plenty of water to last the whole cook and keep everything humid. Super consistent temp control made it easy to control my cook. My first cook was a pork shoulder, it was the best one i have ever made! I resisted buying a similar setup for a long time because you would need to buy both a basket and a drip pan to get the same functionality as the Smoke and Sizzle. I wrapped mine in foil to make it easier to clean up after. I’m going to need to get another one for my grill at the lake!!! Well done FlameTechGrills!!

It is well made and keeps the grill clean. So far I only used it once but hopefully it will last a few years.

Made some great brisket with it! Really nice item and cheaper alternative to other accessories like slow n sear
