Endless fun and entertainment for the children
This little toy is very versatile and safe to use, even indoors. It's essentially a motorised fan encased in a plastic cage, which keeps it from hurting anyone or anything. It's very easy to get it started as it has a single on and off switch and is motion activated. You simply switch it on and throw it or shake to make the motor run, it automatically stops when it falls and sometimes mid-air.There are lots of different tricks to learn and you can throw it in a boomerang trajectory, loops and much more. It's very durable and doesn't seem to break or cause damage, but I would be careful around framed pictures, vases etc,

Lots of fun with limited instructions
This is a very innovative toy, it comes in a nice box and the overall build quality seems good. It is likely to be a great Christmas present for 11-14-year-olds.There are two modes:- Straight flight, where two or more people fly the ball to each other- Boomerang (or so-called gyratory) mode where it comes back to youIt is to be expected that the ball bumps into walls or ceilings occasionally. However, the outer cage is soft and flexible enough to protect both the toy itself and your paint.Instructions are limited, and there are differences between advertised instructions and the ones that come with the unit. On the web, there is a Boomerang mode which needs a 30-degree angle, on the manual it talks about a gyratory mode that needs a 45-degree angle.Talking about angles, it needs a bit of practice to get going. You hold the ball at an angle, depending on the expected manoeuvre but still throw it straight. This makes the entire experience a bit fiddly and hence it may not be suitable for younger children.I am giving it 4 starts mainly due to the innovative nature of the toy. Currently, it comes with a 40% voucher making it reasonably priced for what it is, at full price I would be reluctant.

Fun for all ages
The Tomzon Flying Ball, Hover Boomerang Ball is nice and lightweight. It comes in a small colourful box with good instructions. The battery life is good but obviously that depends on how much you use it. It is easy to charge with the included usb lead. I did find it quite tricky to turn on as you need to keep the inner ball still to move the switch. All the grandchildren and older children have been having fun playing with the flying ball. It does take some time to get used to how it moves but it's all part of the fun.Great gift idea for any age.Recommended

Fun, but the novelty fairly quickly wears off
The media could not be loaded. This is basically a fan-assisted ball. You power it up with a microswitch button that's a little fiddly to push (see pic) and once powered, a couple of wrist twists sets the fan spinning and gives the ball lift. You play by throwing the ball and using the fan to accelerate, support or slow the movement of the thrown ball. I played with it with my son, and if angle correctly, even quite a gentle throw can send the fan accelerated ball at you surprisingly quickly, but we settled on a more gentle angle allowing us to use a gentle throw with the fans support to send the illuminated ball to each other. We tried the boomerang feature, where you angle the ball to return to the thrower, but we lack the skill to make much of it, but it's fun to trick the other player into thinking the ball is coming their way only for it to stop short and fall. When in action, the flashing LEDs are really quite attractive when spinning, but it is quite noisy.Charging is via the USB-Micro socket and supplied short lead, and connecting the charge cable is a bit fiddly as it can spin around. It's a fun novelty, and with the 40% off voucher applied, the OTT £29.99 price drops to a more palatable £17.99, but I think it will be a short-lived novelty for most. If this toy knocks your socks off as a fun idea, add a star to my rating, but ultimately, it is just a fancy ball to play with.

Pretty cool
I got this for my son for Christmas, but unpacked it and gave it a quick test to enable me to review. At first, I wasn’t sure about it but soon realised that practise is they key to success! Oh, and angles 🤣It’s a really fun ball, which can be do different things depending on the angle it is thrown. You also need to ensure you are holding it the right way up.It lights up, which is cool. There are also stickers but not sure my son will use those. It charges via a usb cable which is provided.I think this is suitable for ages 10 upwards.

Fun to play once you learn it
The Tomzon Flying Ball, Hover Boomerang Ball is fun to play but it took a bit of time and courage for my 7-year-old to learn how to play. The boomerang function and normal hovering work well. It is safe to play as the fan blades are inside the ball. I would suggest adult guidance at the beginning. Overall, it is a fun-to-play toy

Keep the kids entertained for a long time.
It comes in a nice colourful box, making it very much giftable. You get a Micro USB charging cable and an instruction leaflet inside the box. The material seems durable, and the honeycomb pattern adds durability and protects the propeller and chip inside. If the ball touches the furniture, it stops automatically and doesn't damage anything; however, it might get a break if you throw it like a ball. My nine 11-year-olds enjoy playing with this ball; I enjoy playing with them, too. It's tricky to get this flying for me; however, my kids quickly picked up the technique. If you have a thicker finger, turning the button ON/OFF might be difficult as it is inside the frame. You may need to use a long nail, pen, or toothpick. However, this should be fine for children with smaller fingers. The lights look lovely at night, and charging lasts very long; that's the essential factor. Overall, this is a good quality toy ball; kids will enjoy playing with it; it keeps my kids entertained for a long time; it is suitable for catching practice and an excellent alternative to keep them away from the screen.I hope this review helps you to make a purchasing decision.
