Great wood veneer. The heat activated adhesive is great too. Had worked great for me to cover the edge of some plywood shelves I have made. Haven't tried stain yet, will return with details after staining it

Excellent product.

I brought this as had new wooden flooring and wanted my skirting boards to match flooring, so made flooring into skirting boards and used this to seal on top of edge, it's iron on and went on well, then put clear varnish over it, would recommend.

I decided to do up our internal oak veneered doors giving them a sand and varnish. However one door had never been finished properly along the hinge edge and looked awful - see photo. Two joiners told me it was impossible to fix. However this product did the trick and it now looks amazing! I followed the tips given in other reviews and flattened the edging out overnight by lying it on the floor with some chopping boards over it. This stopped it curling. I had to hold the edging on with bits of masking tape, the main problem being that ironing over the tape meant it left a sticky residue when removed. Using Sticky Stuff Remover got rid of it but stained the wood so I wiped the whole edging with it. I then stained the edging with medium oak and varnished it. The ironing part was easy, but took a while and made my arm ache as you need to hold the iron on the tape and press. A few edges didn't stick very well and I found pressing a cloth onto the edging tape after lifting the iron did the trick. I am so pleased with the result!

Failure rate about 40% with this product. The grain is strong and so it tears along the grain when trying to edge finish. Frustrating as it fails to adhere well also. Cannot recommend

Always had problems with iron on edging staying put, this stuff however bonds quickly and stays bonded. really pleased with results.

El producto es de chapa de roble preencolada, la chapa tiene el suficiente espesor y calidad para posteriormente lijar y barnizar sin problemas, su grosor permite recortar el borde sin problemas de astillas Frente a los cantos de material plástico ésto es mucho mas resistente y de acabado mas bonito, su precio es mucho mas elevado por lo que solo se debería usar con tableros de chapa natural

Exactement ce que je cherchais ! Il s'agit de vrai bois de chêne, et il est bien précisé dans la description qu'il n'est pas traité ou teint. J'ai pu le teindre de la même couleur les Anciens Ébénistes que le reste de mon placard fait en contreplaqué chêne puis le vernir avec du V33 mat, et le résultat est parfait. Evidemment, comme c'est du bois la découpe est plus difficile que du stratifié, mais on prend le coup assez vite. Aucun soucis d'encollage avec un fer à repasser, il faut simplement y aller petit à petit pour bien faire adhérer la colle au support. Je repasse commande très vite !
