We had never used a slicer for since we would always buy our cheese in slices, but we 2er recommended to get cheese in block because it was less expensive. It was a good recommendation because there are more variety of cheeses in block. Anyway this cheese slower was easy to use, the handle made it feel natural to use. The blade was sharp and made it easier to glide through the cheese. it is also easier to clean than the grater we have.

How I ever got along without a cheese slicer for so many years I'll never know, but from now on I won't be without one. I chose this design and am happy I did because it's a simple, elegant, and perfect way to both slice and serve cheese for meals or parties. It's stainless steel so cleanup is a cinch, and I expect it to last a lifetime. There will be no more buying pre-sliced cheeses for me now that I can save money buying blocks of cheese and slicing what I need so easily!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my fiancé who just used it for the first time today and loved it! He’s rough on kitchen utensils but is really happy with the quality of this slicer. this slicer is just what I was looking for. I kept looking at the kitchen stores and walmart and could not find an actual real cheese slicer. they all were just those terrible metal wire things that didn't slice cheese, just mangle it. I'm so glad I found this slicer on amazon and it shipped so fast I had to rush to the store to buy cheese to slice!

The blade is really sharp, and that was a pleasant surprise. Felt fine to use, and was decently sturdy. Unfortunately when I ran it through the dishwasher, the handle held a bunch of water that then leaked when I tried to use it tonight. Have to hand wash in the future, which is not what I was hoping for. Inexpensive purchase though. I'll probably just wrap a paper towel around the handle to absorb leaking water instead of buying another if dishwasher is a must.

Have owned several slicers purchased in the supermarkets over the years, but this is superior slicer in every way, More ergonmical, very sharp, the slice is think but durable for crackers or bread, a bristle brush gets it clean in seconds. Am going to order a 2nd.
