Get lost in its world of magic and the wolves and the witches....
Bruja is told from Tessa’s witch cousin Claudia who was a part of Luciana’s coven before it spilt. Claudia has a blood bond with Luciana and every night when she goes to sleep Luciana drains her magic which is making her weaker and weaker. Claudia and a few of her friends escaped Luciana and were given a place to stay with the wolves at St. Ailbe’s Academy. When Luciana attacked the wolves at the Academy wanting to get Claudia back as she is a powerful witch and needs her magic Raphael Claudia’s twin brother is injured and is dying. Claudia and the other witches are working around the clock trying spell after spell trying to break their blood bonds from Luciana and to find a way to save Raphael. They are running out of spells and nothing is working. They need some very powerful magic if they are to stop Luciana and the war that is headed their way. She has tried everything she knows to try she knows what she needs and that is ancient magic and to find that she will have to travel to Peru.Claudia will do whatever it takes to save her twin and the other witches even if it means traveling around the world to do it. She has a long way to go but only a short time to save her brother. Can she Make it there and find the magic before time runs out?Claudia is very happy for her cousin Tessa finding her True Mate but like any girl she wants what Tessa and Dastien as well as Meredith and Donavan have but doesn’t expect to ever find it and especially not with a wolf. When she arrives in Peru she meets this very handsome man/wolf Lucas; who she is instantly attracted to and he her. Lucas volunteers to be her guide in the mountains while she is looking for the magic she needs. Finding this magic may be more dangerous and harder to do than Claudia anticipated as they start out on their journey through the mountains. Can Claudia find the magic she needs? Will she be able to break her tie to Luciana? Can they stop the war that is coming? Can she find what she is looking for and make it back to her brother in time? Want answers? Read the story to find out.I have said it before and I will say it again I love this series and can’t wait to dive into the next book Alpha Unleashed to find out more about the wolves, the witches, the fey and the impending doom that is hovering over them all.Bruja is filled with just as much action and magic as the first three books that will keep you flipping those pages wanting to know more. With each book I pick up I fall further and further into its depths and get lost in its world of magic and the wolves and the witches all three of which are my favorite things to read about in the fantasy world. The Alpha Girl series is so impeccably written and an engrossing read that you will be lost in its world from the first page. It is unputdownable.I would recommend Bruja and the whole Alpha Girl series to all fans of the paranormal with werewolves, witches, fey and the nasty rotten kind of vampires.

Surprising
At first I didn’t want to read this book because it didn’t have the main characters in the last as much. When I finally buckled down and read it though I was very into it. Love the relationships in this book.

Do NOT buy the narration
I’ve been listening to the first 3 books in this series and it’s been pretty enjoyable and then I got to this one. The narration style is a complete 180 from the others. For 1 she gave Dastien a very heavy French accent when he did not have one in the previous narrations. I’ve only gotten 10 minutes into this book and I had to stop. She used a horrible squeaky voice for the character of Elsa like she’s a 4 year old. I just wish that they had continued the previous narration style after having it for 3 books. I do not recommend listening to this book but the first three were great.

My new favorite series!
I love these books, every single one of them, every character, every story line, the whole series! Claudia by far is my favorite characte. She's a smart strong female who is also a Latina. I enjoy reading, and I've read my fair share of books, mostly fantasy/supernatural. I've not read a book yet that has had a strong Latina character before this series. Claudia loves her family and it show in this book, yes I was mad at her at first for putting her cousin through what she put her through (no spoilers here, if you haven't read the first 3 books). She has never left the safety of what she knows, never traveled, never had a boyfriend or any real education except for her witch craft. Yet she travels all the way to Peru by herself (yes she has a escort but she know it's her quest alone) to help find a way to save her twin brothers life, is almost killed and still keeps going strong never giving up. I am also from Texas and not all of us have a strong accent. It's refreshing when the author doesn't exaggerate the accent just because the setting is in Tx and stereotype the lot. Not to mention the shutouts to some of Texas's best, Whatabuger, Blue Bell, and UTA.=)

The action-packed magic troubles and delicious wolf boys go international
Aileen Erin's 4th Alpha Girl book is an interesting side-step from the usual narrative of Tessa. In Bruja, we follow her cousin, Claudia, as she attempt to magically separate herself from her former evil coven leader, Luciana, who is using their bond to drain Claudia's powers and use them for more terrible plots against the wolves. In order to save herself, prevent Luciana's future mischief, and free her friends from the Coven, she has to overstep her fears, and go on a quest in Peru in search of the coven of pure magical beings, under the protection of the local wolf-pack. With a fresh perspective, we get more information about the magical world Tessa, Claudia and their friends are entangled in, particularly on a global scale, as well as some empowering self-discovery, and some entertaining and romantic boy troubles. I highly recommend Bruja, especially if you're interested in YA paranormal action, with a hint of romance, a strong female lead, and delicious shifter guys! Bruja is a great story on it's own, but adds beautifully and seamlessly to the Alpha Girl series. Looking forward to hearing more from the other characters as well as seeing what Claudia and Tess accomplish after all these adventures...

a trips down imagination road review
Title: BrujaSeries: Alpha Girl (#4)Author: Aileen ErinFrom: AmazonGenre: Paranormal, YARelease Date: 12th May 2015Challenges: 2015 New Release Challenge, COYER Scavenger Hunt, 2015 Prequel & Sequel Challenge (2 points)Links: Goodreads - AmazonHaving left her Coven and the oppressive dark rule of Luciana, Claudia's problems are far from over. Still bonded to Luciana, her power is being drained and her future in jeopardy. Travelling to Peru she meets Lucas. The last thing that Claudia expected was to meet her soul mate while looking for the White Mages who could save her Coven and the Pack.I love this series! Once again the latest installment had me completely enthralled in the lives of Tess and her Pack and her family. Unlike the other books, Bruja was narrated by Claudia rather than by Tess and I was a little worried that I wouldn't enjoy it as much, but I was wrong. I liked Claudia's perspective.I half expected the story to jump right into Claudia's journey to Peru, even though she didn't seem too keen on the idea to begin with. Instead the book took time to explain more about magic (which Tessa has been slowly learning about) and how Bruja Covens work. It was interesting and added more depth to the story, as well as justifying Claudia's trip.I liked that Lucas was patient with Claudia, and that something grew between them slowly. Claudia wasn't really denying that there was anything between them, but she doesn't jump into anything, it worked really well, particularly because the past books had already explained the mate bond it added something else.I liked learning more about Claudia as well, she has been a fairly minor character in the previous books as Tess' cousin, so in this one when she took more of a centre stage it was like she was being properly introduced. Despite their differences she clearly cared deeply about Tess, and about her brother and her coven.I love this series, I can't wait for more from Alpha Girl, this has been a great series!

Loving this series
I had to drop a star because of all the mistakes. Horse instead of hoarse being one! There are lots of others.Mistakes aside, I loved this book. I felt connected to the characters and really didn't want it to end. Guess what I am going to do now?.......go to the Kindle shop and buy the next book in the series. You won't be hearing from me until I have finished it.Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did! Thank you Aileen Erin for taking me on an exciting journey away from a mundane life.

Dont want to stop reading
Another great book, i was a little unsure with reading Bruja as i started off with a few books in Tessa POV and i dont really like jumping into someone elses POV thats part of the same book as it all sounds the same and sounds a little cliche.I was not disappointed Claudia probably could have her own book series all about the coven. Also makes a change to jump into a different character in a series of books as you can get a bit bored of the main character but am looking forward to getting back to Tessa. So next read it is :)

Great read!
I'm not usually a fan of change of characters in series as I always prefer the original cast but got to say without doubt this book was absolutely amazing had me hooked from the start. Really insightful to see Claudia's story from her point of view. Defiantly worth the read
