Excellent review of a deep subject in an easily understandable format
I have always had a fascination for particle physics as I grew up in the 50's. This book brought me up to date with this intriguing subject in a fun and easy manner. Now I need to go into it by reading more details in Scientific America.

Informative
An interesting read, good price

So that's what my grandson was talking about.
I needed a quick intro to particle physics so that I can have a conversation with my grandson who is studying the theoretical side of this fascinating subject. Great book easy to grasp the concept.

Historical coverage
An interesting but shallow coverage, consistent with its size and price. There is a good summary of the history of the subject but no satisfactory coverage of the actual physics.

Particle Physics part by part
I pre-ordered this book and I recieved it the day it came out (I could even smell the wet ink).Anyway, the book is very informative and makes very complex ideas understandable to lay-persons,even ignorant students of philosophy like myself.

Good, but not to read on a kindle.
The book is fun and informative, but reading graphic novels on a kindle is just silly, the illustrations are far too small, and if you big them up it's just all too slow. Probably great as an actual book!

A good place to start.
Not the easiest of subjects to get to grips with but this book gives an excellent introduction through its graphics, photos etc.

Covers the ground, graphics disappointing
The book covers the ground of the history of particle physics. Slightly disappointing graphics, mainly DWEM’s and very little actual physics.
