Kids love it and very versatile
I bought 4 for my classroom. Kids love it and very versatile! Wanting to buy more for my art room. There are so many applications where this can work in an art classroom. The company is superb and quick to respond. I wish more companies were this efficient. I love everything about this product. It important to note that this pen can use both kinds of filament. Some of the competitors do not have this capability.Thank you for the great product!

Broke the second time we used it!
Initially we loved this pen. The first time he used it, we were impressed with the ease and simplicity of the pen. My son used it for a good chunk of time for the first session. Today, he was using the pen for the second time and the tip portion fell off. There was an insulated part that also fell off along with the metal tip. It seems as though the wiring melted from the heat of the product. We are very disappointed, especially since my son is in the middle of his project and now has nothing to complete the project with. I strongly discourage anyone from ordering this product!

Worth the money
My older son has a couple of 3D printers so my youngest son uses the ABS and PLA filament scraps in this 3D pen. He's had a lot of fun with it so far. He's drawn some great stick figures, cubes, pyramids, etc. So far he's just been doodling, but my older son thinks he might be able to use it for mending his 3D prints that break. I've tried it to write dimensional words that could then be used on a greeting card, etc.Four stars because using it for vertical drawing is much harder than expected. Also, you have some waste because the filament must be removed from the pen before the back end enters. Otherwise there is no way to remove it short of using another piece of filament to feed it all the way through. That has caused some minor frustration. Overall, he's happy with his purchase and I love to see my kids spending their time creating and learning new things. If we had to do it over, we would!

Fun printing pen packed with features
I got this for the kids and I to try our hand at using a 3D printing pen. The pen is AC power operated and you plug the cable into the top end of the pen. The cable is a decent 55 inches long, so we could maneuver the pen comfortably. It is nicely made, lightweight and comes with a lot features - it has a standby mode when not in use, temperature adjustment and can use two types of filament, has an LCD screen, buttons to insert/remove the filament, and a great slide control to vary the speed of the filament being fed out. The pen comes with 3 long strands of filament to just get you started, but we will have to get more filament for sure. It takes some practice to use it, and we are slowly getting better at it. The pen comes with decent instructions on how to use it and a palette knife which can be used to guide/shape the plastic.

Great fun!
This is a great little 3D pen! It is light and is very easy to use. I had a great time with it within 30 seconds. It takes about 20 seconds to heat up and 10 seconds to figure out how it works. It uses ABS and plastic. You just press a button to alter the type of filament you are using. I bought the refill pack that came with the pen. It came with 20 different colors and an ebook with ideas as well as directions on how to make each item. I can't wait to show this to my students at our technology club.

Failed Almost Immediately - Twice
My son had fun with this for about 25 minutes until it failed. It stopped feeding the filament. To the companies credit, they sent me a new one as a replacement. Unfortunately, this one failed not even 15 minutes into play; no longer powers on. This product is apparently just garbage.

good for a makerspace
I purchased this 3D Printing Pen to use in my classroom maker space. We have several other pens that the students have been having fun with, so I ordered another one. This one works pretty well and is easy to grip. The filament melts, but it is a little more difficult to control than another model that is more expensive.

Impressive
I tried this last night and am totally impressed. It didn't take all that long to get used to the controls etc. I can hardly wait to make something cool.

Good for prototyping, good for kids
PROS+ Lightweight, comfortable to grip and use for long usages+ Easy to use with understandable user manual+ Scraper included+ Sufficient length wall plug-in cable+ Inclusion of scraper & 3 different colored PLA filament+ Affordable+ Supports both PLA & ABS+ AffordableCONS- You will quickly use up the PLA filament they include in the package very fast, but it’s meant to be a taster. You can get affordable PLA filament from Amazon or other websites, widely available.FINAL NOTESThis is a good basic 3D printing pen. Whether you’re thinking of getting this for your kid, or if you want to use it to quickly prototype rough models of something you want to make/design, then this is a great tool. Yes, the pen feels a bit cheap and yes, it’s not anything groundbreaking, but for what it is, it’s a great product.

Works as well as could be imagined
Let's just start off by saying I am in NO WAY an artist.Of course, when I decided to buy this, I had very little confidence that I would be able to make anything that resembled anything. To be honest, I bought it hoping to stop cracking on some of the interior parts of my 80s car. Basically think of it as plastic welding... Turns out, the car's plastic is made of ABS, and the plastic that comes with the pen is PLA. I thought plastic was plastic, but that is completely my fault. For the record, this pen DOES WORK with ABS filament, I just did not have any on-hand when I started to work on my plastic pieces. With that said, the pen came with a fair amount of plastic. Again, I am no artist. But, this pen did seem to work as advertised. I was actually impressed with the versatility of this little thing. While there is a learning curve on how to time pressing the button to extrude, I did not find it unreasonable. The instructions are well written, and much better than what I have seen in the past from items imported. The power cord is long enough that you can use it .My daughter has taken a liking to is, and it certainly keeps her focused and occupied. To be honest, she is a bit better at it that I am. But, she kicks the hell out of me at Fortnite as well. So, there is that.Bottom line is this thing will not make you replacement parts for your dishwasher. It is NOT a replacement for a full 3D printer. It is a rubix cube. A deck of cards. A zippo lighter. Sure, they all have their purposes, but they are just easy to use and very good at testing your obscure skills.Overall, good buy!

AMAZING!!!!
Had some issues that weren’t the sellers fault, I have to say this pen is absolutely incredible my kids and I ages 3,6 and 34 are in love with this pen. It is soooo easy to use and the possibilities are endless! I can’t put it down (my daughter is getting frustrated with me lol) I will have to buy my own pen! I have bought two of these pens from this seller and will buy more! The customer service and shipping are by far the best I have ever had on amazon and I have been religiously shopping on amazon since 2004. This seller is amazing to work with! I highly suggest this product and the seller!

Fun, but Just a cheap toy... keep your expectations in check
My 8 year old son opened this up for Christmas. It worked for about 1 minute and then the feed button stopped working. We took it apart and found the on switch wasn’t lined up with the on button. We got it working again for about one more minute and it quit again. It seems really fun for the short time we used it and I want to give it a second chance so I ordered another... hopefully we will have better luck with the second one.Update.. much better luck with the second one. The first was clearly faulty.

Failed after 5 minutes, motor wouldn't advance.
I got this pen and tried to make something simple - a small cube. The pen broke before I could finish the cube - the motor would no longer advance.I did some research and this thing is essentially a rebrand of a RP-100 type 3d pen which is a pretty old style of pen with a number of common issues (like motors that won't push the filament). You'd be better way, way, way better off skipping this and searching for a rebrand of the RP-600 type 3D pen (search for ones with OLED displays instead of LCD) - skip this one entirely. The RP-600 I got to replace this one was actually cheaper than this one was as well, so it's a no-brainer to skip this.
