Cooler Hinges & Latch Replacement for Igloo Cooler Replacement Parts Set, Stainless Steel Latch and Hinge Parts Kit with High-Strength Screws

I almost returned this kit as the hinges didn't line up, or so I thought. Turns out the hinges fold up when closed! I'm sure I'm not the only one to wonder why these were about a 1/2" off! These are great replacement latches and hinges and would definately purchase this kit again!!

These are a lot better that the plastic parts that come with the cooler. Last time i got the plastic parts but went with these metal ones since the cooler is still in good shape and should last a while.

Why would igloo build such a cooler with such delicate hinges and clasp. These hinges and clasp are ideal but a costly replacement. I will think twice before Igloo again.

These hinges seem to be of fine enough quality. But there are a few issues. Mine came with a dent in one of the stainless steel latches. It’s not a more disqualifier for me but it should be flawless out of the bag. Also the locking pegs are slightly smaller than the OEM pegs. So you have to use the ones supplied, even though the color is slightly off. Also the pegs are too small to allow the screws that they provide to recess into the hole. I like the idea of stainless steel parts, so I don’t want to return these. I am going to be tasked with finding smaller headed screws or enlarging the holes on the pegs. This is something that need to address.

The hinges fit perfectly but the latches don’t line up to fit and close on my igloo cooler

Used these stainless parts to re-build an old Igloo cooler. They fit great and are definitely better than the cheaply-made original hinges and latches. Shame on Igloo for continuing in 2024 making the same cheap parts.

These are horrible. Total junk. They don't keep my cooler closed tight. They pop open on their own. I have the big igloo costco cooler. Don't buy these as a replacement. You will truly be sorry you did
