Highly engaging and fun for aspiring artists!

We often watch the Art for Kids Hub videos on YouTube and, when we saw them advertised, decided to buy one of the books. We've been really impressed with it. You absolutely don't need to have watched the videos/be familiar with them, the book works as a standalone. The drawing guides are clear and easy to follow - in some ways easier than following along with the videos as you don't need to pause to catch up. We'll be buying the other books. I'd say this is an ideal Christmas present for kids aged from about 6, to get them interested in drawing or help them improve.

This is a great book for building confidence with children drawing. They love following on YouTube and these books provide a useful alternative for screen free time

This was purchased for my daughter who likes to draw. The illustrations in the book are easy to follow. They layout is well done. The font, shapes and sizes are pleasant to look at and don't feel overwhelming at all. All of the pages are super cute but doesn't have the overly busy feel. Sometimes I even find my daughter just looking at it even without paper in front of her. All of the illustrations and things you are instructed to draw are cartoon in nature. There are 30 different step-by-step drawings. I have purchased this book, as well as the animal drawing book by the same author. Both books follow the same pattern. There are also fun facts throughout the book. At the beginning the book, there is a page about colors and how colors complement each other, how there are color temperatures and information about color mixing. This is a book I feel like I can sit down with my daughter and draw right along with her. It is so well done. I would purchase this again without hesitation. It would make a good gift for any kids parties we get invited to. It's not just another toy to sit around the house, but something that actually engages the child and stirs the imagination.
