You get what you pay for... sometimes
The hardware store is only about a mile away, but Amazon spoils me and I like it. HOWEVER, at the store I would have unfurled 5' of nicely round kink free hose off a bulk roll and like a kid with a sack full of candy, I'd be on my way home with exactly what I wanted, no fuss - no muss. Many of the other reviews reference several unsatisfactory kinks and honestly brother, they're not kidding. If you're looking for optimal flow, kink-free as advertised and you are not interested in attempting to fix a hose that is "clearly dysfunctional." I recommend visiting a brick and mortar store or find an alternate vendor who guarantees a wholesome hose without the extra hassle.

Kinks Too Easily
I bought these as a replacement to the hoses for my Fluval FX5 canister filter. While I was initially impressed with the clarity and size of the hose, it quickly began kinking in several areas, completely restricting water flow. For hose of this diameter, you’re safer going with something that is thicker and offers an inner wire or threading. Unfortunately this was a total waste of money for me.

Came all kinked up, impossible to fix
I wanted hosing that was undamaged. Instead what arrived was a thick plastic tube that was severely bent and virtually unusable. Nothing I did was able to remove the kinks. Avoid.

Only about 75% of the role is usable
You lose quite a bit of hose because they crimp it so many times it's not usable. About 25% of this role is useless.

Pretty bent up
This is a thick hose but the supplier wound it really tight. There are some serious bends in it that I tried to open up with a hair dryer so we'll see, but I'm not sure it's going to work for my project.

Badly packaged. Kinks won't come out.
It was so tightly and stupidly wrapped, it has kinks in it, and because this is vinyl tube (not silicone), the kinks won't come out easily. Useless.

Large vinyl tube had lots of kinks and curl that you will need to straighten out with a heat gun.
