Did not Rapid Charge Essential Phone - Great Customer Service
I bought this in hopes it would rapid charge the Essential Phone. Unfortunately, this charger didn't quite do what I had hoped it would. On a positive note, NekTeck reached out to me and at no cost sent me the 45w version of their car charger (https://www.amazon.com/Nekteck-Certified-Charger-Macbook-12-inch/dp/B075WSC1J9/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1525185665&sr=8-3&keywords=nekteck+45W+usb+PD) and it does rapid charge the Essential Phone. I have tried various car chargers for me Essential and the Nekteck 45W was finally a success. I also can't say enough good things about this companies customer service and followup after the sale. Based on this experience I have now purchased multiple other car and wall chargers from them and all worked flawlessly. Strongly recommend Nekteck products.Update:

Least expensive but effective
This may be the least expensive PD charger you can get for your car without sacrificing quality. It works wonderfully and the cable that it comes with is well-made too. My morning commute is 27 minutes and it gets my phone charged about 1.5% per minute, compared to my old charger that was at most 1% per minute (not scientific analysis). I highly recommend this until they come out with an inexpensive version with 2 PD ports.

Great charger but poor cable
I purchased the Nekteck primarily to charge my Essential PH-1 phone. Discovered out-of-the-box that the provided cable was completely bad. It would not charge at any speed and I confirmed that it was the cable by testing it with a wall charger. Using the cable that came with my PH-1, this charger works great. The PH-1 displays "charging rapidly" and charges at a rate of ~1% per minute while constantly using the phone. This charging rate is equivalent to the wall charger that came with the PH-1. Docking 1 star just for the cable.

Wow, the cord alone is worth the money
Why I think this was an awesome deal so far so good? I think I own this for about 2 months now. As far as I remember this brand is a decent brand it's not like other known Brands? But I think they're making their place or something because this thing fast charge is my phone not to mention it gives you type-C to type-C cord with the charger? The cord alone is worth the money and the cord is long!, I think it's the best value to get for a charger

Charges sooo fast!
Extremely happy with this perfect, high speed car charger. Fits snugly in outlet. Comes with a C to C type high speed cable & it has an open slot for 1 additional regular USB cable. Definitely 5stars

This is probably the best deal you are going to find to "fast charge" capable type-C ports. Although, at 27 watts, you wont be charging a macbook or laptop. It's a must have for all smart phone users who are constantly on the go especially for the price. Just a type-C cable is about the price of one of these this product comes with BOTH!! No complaints. I have one in each car and my work trucks. Quality is durable and reliable.

Rapid Charges my Pixel 2
This charger rapid charges my Pixel 2 and is actually USB-IF certified (I looked it up on the USB-IF Compliance Program website). I can't speak for the quality of the included USB-C cable since I threw mine away immediately. Using a USB-C cable for charging is a perilous endeavor right now (read up on Google engineer Benson Leung's USB-C research). I opted to use an Amazon Basic USB-C cable -- a 100% safe cable. The cable included with this charger may be perfectly fine, but I'm not going to risk my phone or my new car charger to find out!

So Far, So Good
Works as advertised.Phone charges at 27W as promised.Using my charger for The Essential.I wish the cord was coiled, but, that is ok.The correct charging rate and time are more important.It plugs in snuggly and stays put.Nice little blue light shows it is on.Will update review if necessary.I am pleased.
