Should I use a TDS meter to test the water quality?

TDS meters detect salts or impurities with positive charges in water. Disinfection chemicals, such as chlorine and chloramine, do not impact the conductivity of the water, so TDS meters cannot measure them.

I wasn’t sure if a shower filter would make a big difference, but I’m really glad I gave this one a try.
