nice and flexible, easy to demould from
I have worked with various rubber mould making sets before for casting in resin and in plaster. table top gaming terrain mostly, walls, crates, barrels and odd details. This stuff is very easy to use the pump dispensers especially save a lot of mess and make it easier to measure roughly. the kit coming with enough bits to get you going - just add a "frame" for a mould (the 2x4 lego blocks are ideal for this, foam board works too - just make sure you seal it). and some liquid Vaseline to brush thinly over the master.mix, pour, wait, regardless of how fast these are I tend to leave them overnight to be sure its fully cured. at A15 rating this is quite flexible and good for working with resin materials for finer objects, stretchy enough to do a fair bit with single part moulds and still get stuff out of it.there is enough here to not only get you started but to make a few decent moulds depending on the size, for smaller things you will get a few out of this easily.the stuff is very runny when mixed which makes getting bubbles out easy, you don't *need* to degas (though if you can its worth doing), you can pour it in a thin stream and most air bubbles will come out and then rocking side to side a bit will help more. another tip is some disposable cheap brushes and paint a layer of the silicone (gradually) over the master to make sure all the details are covered before pouring the rest - don't hang about though.excellent starter kit

Good quality silicone.
This is a nice quality two-part silicone. Perfect for mould-making and casting. If you do any sort of crafting, soap or candle making, model making, prop making, effects make-up, or toy making/customising, then this is really useful. It's quite simple to use and measure out thanks to the pump dispensers on the bottles. Makes the process a little less messy! Just be careful when mixing so not to introduce any unwanted air bubbles. It doesn't seem to be a silicone that's too prone to bubbling, which is good, so as long as you mix and pour steadily, you should be fine. If it's a really complex object being moulded, you can always use vibration or a pressure pot to get any small bubbles shifted. The silicone dries to a nicely flexible finish, so you can use it for things like candles without the worry you're going to break things during de-moulding. Recommended.

An interesting process
Back in the eighties I used to make rubber moulds for garden ornaments and the results were pretty decent. The difference between those moulds and this silicone mould making kit is mostly due to how you make a mould. With the rubber moulds I used to apply the solution with a brush, allow it to dry then apply another layer and so on, let it dry overnight then peel it off of the model. With this silicone, I had to watch some YouTube videos to find out how to use it and this involves making a frame/box for the solution to be poured into. The silicone mixture is a 1:1 mixture so easy enough to measure, you can actually use the pumps on the container to get a fairly accurate measurement of parts A and B for your mix.The results are impressive, you just need to mix the solution carefully and steadily so as not to create too many air bubbles in it - although when the mixture is sitting curing in its frame air bubbles will work their way up and out of the mixture.I found this kit to be ideal for making small to medium casts and it is an interesting process, whether i will use it very often is another matter.

Cloning an object
I've got a toy, but I'd like to upgrade it a little bit, so watched some videos to see how to best go about it. I used an empty tube of crisps, fashioned a holder for the silicone, and made a negative cast. Then positioned the upgraded parts including charging port in the mould before pouring in the final cast. I have to say I'm thrilled with the result. Can't share a picture unfortunately, for hopefully obvious reasons.

Very fine details captured
I have been wanting to get into mould making for a while, so was very pleased to try out this kit. It has everything you need to get started and I found it very easy to create my first mould after carefully following the instructions.I used a weighing scale to make sure I used exactly the same amount of silicone from the A and B bottles, instead of relying on the pumps. I did get a few air bubbles in the first mould as I think I stirred it a bit too vigorously, but my second attempt was a lot better. I poured the silicone so it created a fine stream to help get rid of as many bubbles as possible and this seemed to work well.I was very impressed with the level of detail the mould captures. Really pleased with this kit and can't wait to create more with it.

Veramente ottima
