Big problems... not impressed!
The bag appears to be of decent quality, but when it arrived with two broken zippers and it didn't fit my bass drum, I had to wonder what happened. I have a 24x14 bass drum and the bag doesn't come close to covering it and zipping up. Maybe I was sent the wrong size? There was no label on the bag showing the size. And the loop ends of the main zippers (not the extra compart zipper) were broken and sharp. ???Even with those problems, I'm giving Chromacast another chance because I would otherwise like the bag. The extra compartment on top is big and well padded enough to carry a ride and probably a pair of crashes. That alone makes me want to see if the next bag they send will fit my drum and be free of damage.I'll update the review if they can make this right.

Great value and a well designed and made snare drum bag
I normally use the Beato Pro 3 Cordura Elite 6.5 X 14 Inches Drum Bag for my piano duo gigs during which I play just a snare drum and hi-hats. I go through one of those a year because I do twenty or more of those gigs a month. The normal failure point on the Beato bag is around the seams. The cordura starts to wear in areas and I have to change bags. I always hoped that Beato would put the hi-hat/spare head compartment on their Pro Tolex series, which is much better built. This bag is almost like having a Beato Pro Tolex series with the spare compartment. I think Beato's Pro series is better made, but this one is close and priced about the same as the cordura offering. Plus the plush lining of both the snare drum and hi-hats/head compartments on this model are superior (and the snare drum compartment is a closer fit.)Seams on this are heavy duty, the handles are reinforced with rivets, and the zippers are about the same as both of the Beato models I cited above. Moreover, the carrying strap is vastly superior to the Beato models in my opinion. They are definitely more comfortable on my shoulders.Given that this is priced close to the lower end of the Beato snare bag line, and has features that the higher end (and much more expensive) Beato bags do not, I gave this five solid stars.

nice bag for the price
I actually am using this to put a snare drum in because I have a 6.5" dynasonic and with the lower hoop it makes normal snare drum cases iffy to fit. Because of the added "extrusion" of the snare gates it does take a little bit to slide it in, but that is not the fault of the case, which I suspect would be able to store a regular 14" even with rim style mounts let alone any stock mounting systems. This has a nice "plush" interior, the vinyl? faux leather? outer shell is sturdy enough and I love the extra little compartment to store spare heads, which is a great plus when gigging with a full kit. It actually can also fit a folded lighter weight snare stand. Has plenty of handles and a shoulder strap. I think it will hold up and it certainly beats travelling naked or with just packing blankets and such. I wouild buy in other sizes if i could find them.

Pretty darn good bag
This bag is plush and fits my 18x14 Yamaha bass drum very well. It seems like it should hold up under normal usage. The material and the bag seem a little soft to me, so I have some concerns about long term durability, but I've been using it for occasional gigs over the past few months, and have had not issues.I particularly like the extra section in the bag for an extra drum head. I use it for my ride cymbal on smaller gigs allowing me to make the trip from my car to the stage in one trip. That feature alone makes it worth the price of admission.Overall I like the bag, and would recommend it to a friend.

Carry your most important drum in a great bag.
My 14" x 6.5" Ludwig Black Beauty (measures 7 1/8" high with rims) with two spare heads (batter and reso in the top compartment) fit perfect.Everyone has bad things happen to them. It's how you respond that defines your character - personal or business. I'm alright making mistakes so long as I step up and set things right, no excuses. The small top carry handle fell off after a few rehearsals. Emailed ChromaCast with a picture, got an immediate response with apology and the replacement arrived in a couple days, no questions asked. BOOM, that's who I wanna do business with.Drummers are not "delicate" people, we hit things. This is a tough, strong, thick, heavily stitched product. The shoulder strap with pad is long enough to hang comfortably. Don't look past the soft fuzzy interior. I learned the expensive way on my old "name brand" hard-shell cases that foam breaks down after a few years (less if it's humid) and turns to a disgusting mess that sticks to your drums. I took a flying leap ordering this bag after throwing my old snare case in the garbage then cleaning my snare - again. I'm going all soft-shell fuzzy bags now.The product and company have earned their five stars.

Fantastic Snare Case!
I rarely write reviews, but after using this 14" snare case I was in love. I will be ordering an set for my whole kit.I was looking for a snare case with plenty of padding. For not being a hard shell, this bag is plenty sturdy. The stitch points seem very solid as well as the handle on top. The snare I bought this for is a custom with matte black and polished gold hardware. The soft interior protects it and leaves it looking untouched. I absolutely love this case for the money. Great bang for buck!

Quality bag
This is a very nice bag. The lining is very luxurious and soft (my cat loves it too) and the pocket for a spare head is a great touch. The drum is well protected from all angles. I just wish it held it's form when empty, getting the drum in can be a little tricky since the bag sags down from its own weight. Definitely a great product though.

a really good bag in line with Protection Racket but again
I got this bag for a gigging kit because the size (22x14) and price was right. But first time in the vehicle an L-rod ripped the leather-like covering. (My center rack bar is the only item not in a case.) Not a very durable cover, but lots of thick padding and a plush interior to help the drums slide in and out. Size is snug on drums. Plus for the thin zippered pocket on the top flap to keep a spare head. Overalll, a really good bag in line with Protection Racket but again, use of the covering material was misguided.

Good but.......
It came with a piece of gum stuck to it in the bag. Absolutely disgusting and I had a hard time cleaning it. Not sure of the manufacturer or the warehouse is to blame. The zipper slider and pull tabs have design flaws and are made with cheap plastic. It came with one already broken in the bag and 3 more were broken off during light use. Having said that, quality built for everything else and good for my purposes. Just very unhappy with the gum and sliders.
