It took me about 20 minutes to replace the old wheels with the new ones. Not through any fault of the new ones, just that 2 of the 5 old wheels left their metal shafts in the chair base which I then had to remove.Now fitted with the new wheels, the office chair looks more stylish and the silver and transparent new look matches the silver wheel base of the chair. The glide is now much smoother and quieter, even when going off a small ledge from the floor protector onto the wooden floor.The office chair has also become much easier to maneuver both seated and unseated.One of the easiest, quickest, and least expensive upgrades to an office or study environment. Recommended.

One thing I was worried about was the wheels making my chair too high as I've seen others do, my desk is quite low so I wanted my chair to stay the same height and these work perfect, assembly was easy, I used a spanner I didn't care about to get the old wheels out and used a hammer on the plastic part to get the new ones in. So far they are good hoping they won't scratch my laminate flooring now and I can glide across the room to my hearts content!

One of the castors from my chair recently gave up. The chair is old and has had to cope with the carpet in my office and always fought back. These new castors have made such a difference. I should have upgraded years ago instead of fighting the carpet all these years. I now glide and swivel with impunity... ;-)

[+] they fit, which is nice…[-] the chair is not freely moving in a straight line - instead it wiggles left and right when pushed towards the desk. This, I guess, is because they are not wide enough for the width of their base.[-] what’s worst, is that they do glide freely… which means the chair drifts away from the desk rather than sits firmly where you want it.
