Hornit CLUG Bike Wall Mount, Roadie, 23-32 mm, White/Black, Easy Install

I bought an XL, a PLUS and a STANDARD one for both mine and my wife's mountain bikes. I had wanted one of these for a while but they never did the plus size fitting that my tyres are - until now. The STANDARD one fits my wife's bike perfectly (2.25" tyre). I ordered the XL and the PLUS size for my 2.8" tyres as Hornit recommend a 'snug fit' on their descriptions stating a 2.8" can be a 2.7" in reality on the tyres.When they arrived, I used the tyre graphic guide on the box (great design packaging by the way) and my 2.8" tyre fitted exactly in the graphic of a 2.7" size. So bear this in mind when buying or fitting!! Hornits recommendations on this were spot on! They do state this on their write up and on their website. I decided to contact them anyway, as I wasn't sure whether to fit the XL or the PLUS size based on the graphic tyre guide.I spoke to Bea Preston Ellis from the company who was fantastic and answered my question of whether I should use the PLUS size CLUG (2.8" - 3.2") or the XL CLUG up to 2.7". Bea recommended the XL size, stating it is better to have a more snug fit.. I fitted it that day and Bea was spot on! My 2.8" fits into the XL size perfectly.Amazing product, simple and effective design. Looks really stylish, easy to install, really only takes 5 minutes per bike. Thank you Hornit for this design and thank you Bea for your advice. I totally recommend this product as a simple and effective way of storing your bikes in your garage or home.

I bought two sizes; mtb (44-57mm) and mtb xl (58-69mm). I tried one bike with 58mm tyres in the mtb size and it did fit but was very tight and required a strong push to engage and remove the tyre, I would think repeated use in this size bracket would probably lead to stress cracking. In the mtb xl it engages quite easily, feels a little loose but does hold the bike without issue. My 2nd bike has 55mm tyre and this fit nice and secure in the mtb size. I would recommend measuring your max tyre width accurately with callipers and buying the recommended size. Installation is simple and item appears good quality. If it fails in future i will update this review.

This super smart and I was so nervous leaving my carbon bike up with it, waiting for the crash in the night, so I left a duvet by it haha. It did fall once but as it’s winter I’ve not ridden that bike and tyres were low I have since pumped and been sound!!! You can also get a little grip which goes around it in the event your tyres do go down which I have also got now.Also I love its gripping the tyre and not the carbon wheels.Overall yes it’s a piece of plastic which technically is pricey for some plastic but I personally can’t make that.I gave it 4 stars because I think with regular use it’ll need replacing due to just slowly losing its form but isn’t exactly expensive.

I like good product design when I see it. This has it all from its cool name, excellent packaging to the product itself which is simple, robust and practical.I mention the packaging because that's just amazing and shows that every detail has been considered. There's a tyre gauge on the side so you can check you have the right size Clug before you open the packet. The box then becomes the drilling template and even catches the drill dust while you drill.Installation is very simple, two holes, two plugs, two screws and clip the cover into place. Done.We have bikes stored in a big cupboard. It's a fairly tight space so one bike has to stand vertically at the back for the others to fit in. Balancing it was possible but inevitably it would slip when moving other bikes around it and pedals would get caught in spokes and chains, very annoying. The Clug is the perfect solution. The bike is held in place, vertically. It supports its own weight on the floor but the Clug holds it in position. No more issues with bikes getting entwined with each other.Would recommend Clug very highly.

Great little product. It was really easy to install these and I've been really impressed with how well they hold the bikes. We bought 4, 3 for road bikes and 1 for mountain bike. All went on the wall really easily and whilst they don't look like they will be that secure, they've been brilliant and we've had no issues with any of the bikes. Also look very minimal on the wall which is nice. Bit expensive for such a small piece of plastic but can't fault the quality.

I’ve only given it 3 stars as I ride 2.85 tyres but in my opinion the appropriate sized clug is a tad to big. I therefore used an old ratchet strap around the whole thing just for extra security. My tire is properly inflated so it’s not because I’m riding low pressures either. Packaging is great, comes with all the necessary bits and the cardboard box with the drill points is a neat touch. I like it but in hindsight the size down would probably have been the better option. At £17 though it’s not something I’d buy another to replace it with. My tyre size was only just in to the largest size but it clearly was hence my purchase. The strap, although not as aesthetically pleasing, does the job so if you found yourself in the same sort of situation it’s not useless. It’s not until it’s on the wall either that you can see how the bike ‘pulls’ on the clug. By the time you’ve installed you’ve used the screws and plugs so sending back wouldn’t probably be an option.

The Hornit Clug is fantastic value and a quality product. It comes nicely packaged in an innovative box which doubles up as a mounting template and tyre width measuring tool. From opening the box to clicking your bike into your wall-mounted Clug takes around 15 minutes. I would recommend having someone help you hold the bike where you a the wall so you can against the wall so as to make it easy to mark out exactly where you want the Clug. Other than that it's a 2 minute job to drill and mount the Clug itself. Clipping the bike in is simply a case of tilting it back and rolling it forward until it clicks into the Clug.Make sure you choose the right size for your bike's tyre. I chose the Hybrid one which is perfect for my Gravel bike's 37mm tyres (Cannondale Topstone). A great product and I'll be ordering another (larger) one for my Mountain Bike with a 2.5" front tyre.Highly recommended!

Felt I had to write a review about this product. Comes in fantastic packaging, which doubles as a drill template. Installation took less than 10 minutes and the bike has slotted in a treat. Nice snug fit with a little bit of give (talking a centimetre each side of the tyre). At such a price I'm chuffed with this storage solution!The only thing that could be useful would be an additional piece of material to go between the wall and the back tyre to stop the wall getting mucky, but that's me nit picking. Cracking product! Can't recommend enough!

Probably not the intended application but works just fine. I've had it up for a couple months now, no issues. I didn't really like the price but, given that its the only option I could find, I suppose it's worth it. There was enough room under the clip to mount the charger (Velcro tape) which makes for a nice clean storage and charging station.The mount doesn't seem like much but its proven itself to be quite durable: I use the scooter several times a week so it gets plenty of use. Mounting was easy and straightforward. The wheel fits snug but not too tight.Very happy, just wish it was 10 bucks less...

El producto cumple con su función perfectamente. La rueda de mi bici es de 25 y se adapta perfectamente.Echo en falta que venga alguna pequeña pieza para que la rueda trasera no toque la pared y no la manche. Yo he tenido que poner un cartón que no es muy estético.

I have two CLUGs... a "MTB 44-57mm" for my bike with 2.1"W tires and a "MTB XL 58-69mm" for my 2.6"W tires. CLUGs make storage a breeze! Sooo much floor space saved!! And honestly it's super attractive storage - I enjoy seeing the bikes there. Snapping the front tires in place and popping them out is super easy. I did listen to the reviews that said not to place CLUGs in a high traffic area, because the bike can get knocked askew. This is true - but I wouldn't want it to lock onto my bike so hard that damage is caused if I then crash into the bike while walking or carrying something! The CLUGs work perfect in the corner of my room. They also mount very securely to the wall. Would've been a breeze to mount with two people... someone to hold the guide in place. Unfortunately I didn't have help, but it was still manageable. The box comes with an AWESOME guide built right in to help you place your screws into the right spot. I can't imagine not having CLUGs now that I've experienced them! It's such simple storage!! Gives bikes their own space without bumping against anything or tipping and getting damaged. Also, the upright storage position is good for suspension in the forks... GearHooks says it well here: "If the bike is stored vertically on the wall, the forks are tilted backwards. This means that the oil in the forks runs backwards and pools against the foam seals. This keeps the seals properly lubricated and stops them drying out." All in all these CLUGs are one of my favorite purchases ever!
