I really like this soap dispenser. Even though the pump is plastic, it’s very durable, even after several months of daily use. Because the pump is so big/wide, it does show fingerprints — but a quick wipe with a towel or tissue removes them. The wide glass jar is SO easy to fill, which I feel is the best feature of this dispenser. It holds about 6oz of liquid. I use 1.2oz of liquid soap (Dr. Bronner’s) and 4.8oz of water — this produces a perfect foam. I’d like to try other liquid soaps that are a pretty color. I just wish the dispenser came in a gold tone pump.

It feels sturdy, stays in place on the counter, and the pump mechanism operates smoothly without sticking. Fingerprint Magnet: My only real gripe is the aesthetic maintenance. The top is finished in a **polished chrome** that looks great when clean, but it picks up **fingerprints** almost instantly. If you’re someone who likes a pristine look, you’ll find yourself wiping it down frequently. This is the reason for taking away one star. If you prioritize functionality and a sturdy feel, this is an excellent choice. However, if you're sensitive to smudges and water spots, the chrome finish might be a bit high-maintenance for you.

Malachi foaming soap dispenser is so beautiful, very practical, and as others have mentioned, it is clear so you can see when you are getting low. I didn’t read about how to clean the pump when I got it, so when it was clogged, and I couldn’t unclog it, I just bought another one. I have them in my kitchen, and both bathrooms. I use hand soap with oils in it now, and have learned to mix the soap and water in a reusable bottle. I do about an 8 to one ratio, and it works perfectly. Also make sure to not fill it too high. You won’t get the foam action if you do. I have used the old glass container to hold my Qtips, cotton rounds and other odds and ends. So even if the pump is dysfunctional at some point, you can always find a use for the beautiful glass. Oh, and don’t forget to be gentle with it. It will last a long time if you do.

Stopped working after about a year. The pump won’t go down.

You have to fill up just over the half level then I will work well. If you fill it up to the top then the water and the soap doesn't mixed.
