More than just Ti Scales
Edit 2:An omega spring broke, and the knife still functioned with just 1 spring albeit not as snappy, but manufacturer sent me 2 replacement springs and even threw in some screws, all for free!Commitment to product satisfaction.Love these guys.Update:highly customizable! I polished it and anodized it again, and now the colors come out much better. So good!I reverted back to the original clip because it was smoother but blackened the stainless steel with heat, just like the titanium. Most recent pictures are at the end.Original review:Pros:Excellent! Originally, i had just thought this had titanium scales, but it has Ti scales, Ti blade holder, TI backspacer, and also the 2 internal pieces that hold the spring for the axis lock is also Ti. I disassembled mine and anodized the titanium to my liking with a big torch, which i confirmed with the manufacturer that this is Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V). When i did disassemble it, i threw all the steel parts into bluing material to see which parts would be stainless. The only part of the knife that blued were the 2 springs, meaning that the only parts that are not stainless steel that *may* rust would be those 2 parts. This must mean that those 2 spring pieces are a kind of carbon steel, as blueing liquid does not respond to stainless steel. I blued them, so that should not be a problem in the long run.I changed out the stainless steel thumb stud with a titanium Bugout stud, and also the stainless steel clip with a titanium Civivi clip that i sanded down to make fit better. This knife should ultimately last me a lifetime.Cons:1. My knife did not include a shark tool, but the manufacturer refunded me $3. YMMV.2. Requires small tool to tighten "thumb screw". I EDC a 4" pair of Knipex, so this is no issue to me. If you hand tighten it, it will unscrew and you will lose it, but the blade will not "fall out" because it is spring slotted into position.3. i really wish there was some sort of skeletonization in the scales. While titanium is nice, there is no need for such a fat chunk of metal internally. So while titanium IS light, there is no skeleton structure inside, so it is quite heavy.4. Lack of jimping. there is no serrated little notches where your thumbs hold the knife, so it's a lil slippy.Overall, i think it's an excellent utility blade if this is the form factor you enjoy.

Awaiting item, my package arrived but no knife. Updated
Update 2: overall I like it a tick more them my otacle U1"s, I like the front of blade unobstructed of frame, yes the blade corner is exposed, I grind it down with a couple strokes on a file, sandpaper, rock, concrete etc. And if I don't it is NOT a big deal for me. The pivots are smoother, The handle is slightly thicker and has a better in hand feel, pocket clips are equal, though the thumb screw does detach and can be lost I still prefere it as it is larger and can tightened by hand much more effectively. The thumb studs are a bit large but well rounded so they do not catch on pocket opening blade as you retrieve the knife. G10 has a good texture. I have several of each for comparison. Otacle U1 is a very close second and rotate between the 2 saving the edges on my premium blades for edc use.Update; as usual Amazon made it right fast, replacement was complete. The knife is nicer then I thought it would be and compares to the otacle U1 for sure. I have both now and like both andi cannot say one is better then the other, each has it pluses. I prefer the liner design, low-profile lock bar(less chance to catch on pocket and open withdrawing) on the otacle but action is hands down better on the 9tiedc and I prefer g10 over carbon/peel ply scales, pocket clips are equal. The locking mechanism is a wash as both have their hangups otacle is easier to get blade in and out especially with thicker HD blades, but thumb screw is larger on 9tiedc and easier to manipulate but otacle retains screw so it won't get lost, tightening is mute as I carry a 5" knipex cobra pliers ans lightly snug both down. Only time will tell witch I prefere. And bumps up to 5 stars. I just ordered a second one, so I do like it. Still not saying it is better then the otacle U1, it's different, thumb studs are hands down better on U1 with ridges millilled for grip and low profile that do not sit too proudly., verdict on best is still out.Dishonest folks stink. My order arrived but the knife was missing, shark tool, spare blades and thumb screw was in there but no knife. Packaging is nice but not secure. Not sealed, taped or wrapped. Either this was a return from an Dishonest customer, or left factory or warehouse empty. Either way, I have no knife, replacement on the way and will update.

Nice Box Cutter, but one improvement recommended.
This is a great box cutter. I like the easy opening and closing mechanism, which is similar to my favorite folding pocket knives. You can easily and safely open and close the blade with one hand. It's small, so it easily fits in your pants or your shirt pocket. It's not bulky like traditional box cutters, including other folding utility knives you can get at the hardware or home improvement stores. The great advantage this has over every pocket knife is the replaceable blade. No need for sharpening and replacement blades are extremely inexpensive. However, the only reason I would recommend other similar folding box cutters over this one is the blade holder doesn't fully cover the edges of the blade when the knife is closed (see pictures). The blade holder could easily extend by another 1/2" to cover the corner of the blade to avoid any injuries when the blade is locked closed. The current design leaves the corner uncovered, so you could easily scrape your hand while reaching for the blade in your pocket, especially because that corner is facing upwards if you store the knife using the pocket clip. Other similar knives, extend the guard over the back of the blade, so the edges of the blade are completely covered when the knife is closed.

Box Blade Knife
I love the design of the knife. The blade was also very sharp when I received. The price was also decent and great quality.
