Stopped Working after first charge
Worked great after charging it the first time. Tried to charge it when the battery ran low and it won't turn on now. Followed instructions, etc. I wouldn't recommend the product at this time.

Worst thing ever to buy
Worst thing ever to buy !!! Useless. For $80 you only get one stupid cheap plastic ball and when I went to return it they charged me $8 for shipping. Horrible.

Not what was pictured
The product we received is OK, but not what was pictured -- which is really disapointing. I will likely not buy this again.

We just received these yesterday and love them so far
Update after owning for roughly 6 monthsL. Don't waste your money. We've already had one die on us and it's past the return period. Assuming it's the rechargeable battery that won't hold a charge any longer. It works when plugged in but not when it's off the charger. Disgusted after spending close to $200 on three of these. I'm sure the other two won't be far behind. We don't even use them in water. They sit on the edge of our pool and are lit for maybe 2-3 hours per night.Update: Ordered a third globe and the "fade" setting did not function. Amazon processed the return as quickly as usual and we already have our replacement (Prime shipping). The seller is reliable and packages well. Pool looks beautiful with the 3 globes sitting at the edge or floating in the water. Couldn't be happier. We just received these yesterday and love them so far. Ours are the 7.9 inch, rechargeable, remote-controlled. We started with two but I'm back to order another. It remains to be seen how they will hold up over time so I will wait a few months before considering more than the three since they are not exactly cheap. The bottom panel is plastic and the small screws are exposed so I'm thinking they may corrode with use in the pool each night. The port for the charger has a little rubber tab to cover it. We are removing them in the morning and letting them dry to help prolong their life. I would imagine that if you were just sitting these on the edge of the pool or spa or even in your landscaping that the lifespan would be longer. They come with the charger and a remote. I believe it says 4-10 hours to charge (one came with some charge and the other had none) and then 10-12 hours of operation on a full charge. I'm going from memory on that so it might be a bit different but that's close. You need two AAA batteries for the remote. You push the little button at the bottom of the globe to turn it on and then you operate with the remote. You can cycle through colors, set them to strobe, flash, change slowly, fade. You can lock them on one color if you prefer. Pretty neat so I hope we get to enjoy them for a good long while. They're a lot of fun.

Seemed like this was going to be really good
Seemed like this was going to be really good. I floated it on the pool and it looked great. The remote control was nice and worked from pretty far away. Unfortunately this is not waterproof.Small annoyance was that the remote couldn't go through glass unless you're right up on the window. But that's reasonable. The large annoyance is that mine was not waterproof. We took the ball out of the pool and placed it in a dry spot near the pool, but outside. The next morning, the ball had condensation on the inside and wouldn't turn on. I figured the battery might be dead, so I charged it for 24 hours. It would light up while plugged in, but then stay a dim red when unplugged. We couldn't get it to turn off completely or turn on completely. It now does not work at all. We were careful to ensure the seal over the charge port was in all the way before putting it in the water. The only thing we did wrong seemed to be storing it outside over night.Unfortunately, we tested all this after a month so I'm not sure if I can return the item.

... gift for my sister and wasn't sure she would like it. Well she loved it
I bought this as a gift for my sister and wasn't sure she would like it. Well she loved it. It's a really cool ball. The color changing is great - so many options to choose from. I wish I had bought more!
