So sometimes I get these sticks because why not, they seem kind of harmless, but I'm not really sure they work. We have an upstairs toilet and it's always getting clogged, but that's probably because of kids... so I can't really blame this item. However, my kitchen sink recently was working really poorly. Water was taking forever to drain. I hadn't used these sticks in a while. In desperation, I put 2 down. Last time, I tried the washing soda and vinegar... apparently when you pour tons of washing soda down, it just becomes like concrete and nothing moves it, so we had to call a plumber... so I wasn't going to do that again. After a week, it's definitely draining water quickly! It has worked! Probably getting an actual plumber would make it work better, but that's way more than what these sticks cost. An actual plumber would likely be faster as the first couple days, it looked like I had just thrown money down the drain, but if you have time, then try these sticks!

Two of the sinks in our house have a smell while the others don't, so we know it's not the water and must be organic matter of some sort in the two sinks with the highest usage. The smells were especially unpleasant in the early morning. We tried baking soda with vinegar and boiling water, dishwashing liquid, and laundry detergent - none of them worked that well or lasted that long. When we saw the high ratings on this product and that it was guaranteed safe, we took a chance. It was so easy to remove the drain cover and just drop one into the two sinks. Since then, there is much less of a smell and the more time that elapses, the better. We will be using this monthly to help maintain freshness and prevent odor. The price is also very reasonable for a 12pk.

Our kitchen sink was draining really show. We put these little sticks down the drain once every two weeks and soon the drain was running freely. Now we put a stick down the drain once a month and the drain stays clear. It smells better, too. They really work.

Update: After about two months of using this, I’m not sold on its overall effectiveness. I used it in several places. In my bar, which develops film and odors - it did great. The drain rarely clogs but it gets constant drip from the ice well and this really helped keep it odor free and running smoothly. In my kitchen sink, which never has clogged, I’ve still been using this here just preemptively so the jury is out on the verdict how effective it is there. The bathroom sink hasn’t clogged completely but these haven’t really done much other than keeping it moving, albeit slowly. The shower drain hasn’t really been affected positively or negatively. It’s just as slow as ever. I know both of these drains see a fair amount of hair and soap, which this should be breaking down. I guess they haven’t stopped entirely, however they haven’t kept things flowing as smoothly as I had hoped/expected. I normally hit them with some draino once a month but I haven’t as I was willing to be patient and let these do their magic. I wanted a more eco/pipe friendly solution but… It just doesn’t seem to be doing what I need it to do in these instances. I don’t trust most chemical drain cleaners because I rent and I don’t want to have to potentially foot a bill on repair (though that’s never happened, but hypothetically it’s possible). A lot of hair goes down my bathroom drains and they tend to run very slowly. Popped one in the sink and on day one it’s already moving better. Put one in the shower and haven’t seen any improvement yet but I imagine it will. The sticks are scent less so they don’t smell up the place when I’m using the sinks, and they seem they’re going to do what I need them to do. They’re definitely cheaper than getting corrosive chemicals I’ve been buying about once a month, and I love the set it and forget it philosophy. I’ll update in a month and we’ll see where we’re at.

These are the best ever, affordable drain cleaners! I've used SaniSticks before, but those are a little pricey. These Green Gobblers work just as well & are affordable! If you have slow drains in the tub or sinks, these work great! You have have to wait about 2 weeks to start seeing any results for faster drainage but once it does start to drain faster, IT WILL continue to drain better & you'll be able to see the difference! Definitely worth the price & great product!

This is the best bio drain cleaner ever. I have been using for years! You set you calendar at the beginning or end of the month and you just drop a stick into all your drain some bathroom sinks you have to break into pieces to get in the drain. You stay on a consistent schedule you will not experience clogged drain. It will keep your drain clear and flowing smoothly. I highly recommend this product it is easy use product.

I do not write many product reviews, but this is an exception I need to make. If I could give 0 stars, I would, because this product did not do any sort of deodorizing or cleaning. I put these sticks in my bathtub drain and in our bathroom sinks according to the simple instructions on the packaging that state: “Simply drop one strip in each drain or toilet tank every month to help prevent clogs and eliminate foul odors”. First or off, the sticks did not fit in either the sink drains or the bathtub drain; I had to break the sticks apart and jiggle them in to fit. After a few days of having them in the drains, our sink drains in particular STILL smelled horrible. I took a look, and the sticks basically broke down in to littler pieces of clay like consistency and rather preventing clogs, they were just sitting in the sink actually clogging the sink. I had to dig them out with a Q tip and that was an unpleasant job to say the least (picture attached as proof). There is nothing on the packaging that states how long they take to work, and if the sticks dissolve over time. If I would have known the sticks just sit in the drain, I would have picked something else. I’m just going to stick with Liquid Plumr or Drano from now on. Don’t waste your money on this product!!!

As far as I know they seem to help. However it’s harder to use on drains with a pop up stopper to insert it. We will see if they last a month like people say. Otherwise, easy to use and store. Not real expensive either
