Junk rods!
Junk, junk, junk! One rod was broken when delivered two others broke while out on the boat on the same day. The reels seem to work fine but the rods are garbage. $70 for a Penn rod and reel combo is ridiculously cheap so I bought four. Did a return and two new ones came in a few days later and guess what, they broke as well. Complete china crap rods, I’ve thrown in the towel and chocked it up as a loss and have moved on. DO NOT BUY these combos! If they truly are Penns then Penn has dropped the ball.

It's worth your dollar.
It's a good stout rod. 2nd wrath set up. Brought in a big Ray and a 47"red drum.

Came broken, disappointed
I was disappointed with the quality of this fishing rod. As soon as I opened the package, I noticed that the ferrule—the tube where the two rod sections connect—was already crushed and deformed at one end. The opening was squished instead of being perfectly round, making it very difficult, if not impossible, to connect the two sections properly. This appears to be a manufacturing or quality control issue rather than damage that occurred during shipping, since the rest of the packaging and the rod were in good condition. A fishing rod should be ready to use right out of the box, and a damaged ferrule makes the entire rod unusable. I expected better quality control and cannot recommend this product based on my experience.
