Bugs, our bunny, gives it his seal of approval!
These pellets contain Timothy and Alfalfa hay as the primary ingredients, which are an inorganic part of your bunny's diet, and includes extra vitamins and minerals to keep your fur baby healthy. We're using this in a small treat bowl, not as Bugs' primary pellets due to the cost. He sends to like them fairly well. Rabbits have sensitive GI systems, but we haven't noticed any changes in his poops or behavior.

Great pellets, but the packaging needs an upgrade!
I've owned pet rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters & mice continuously since 1990. While I'm not a trained expert in raising small rodents & rodent-like animals, I do have a lot of experience with feeding them. I've bought them tons of food from most of the well-known food providers. The little guys are pretty good at communicating what tastes good. As far as what is healthiest for them, I have to figure that out by observation. I've been purchasing Small Pet Select hay products for a few years now. My pets love their hay. I was overjoyed when offered a box of their pellets to try out.First of all, these pellets are made with both timothy & alfalfa hay. Timothy hay is high in fiber and low in calories and calcium, which helps prevent obesity and bladder stones in rabbits. Alfalfa hay is too rich and can cause health problems for older rabbits, but is OK in small amounts as a treat.Secondly, these pellets are fortified with only the highest quality ingredients that your rabbit needs to thrive. They contain essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support your rabbit's immune system, skin, coat, eyes, and overall health. They also have a balanced ratio of protein and fat that meets your rabbit's nutritional needs. Some other brands of rabbit food have fillers, preservatives, artificial colors, or flavors that can harm your rabbit or make them picky.Thirdly, these pellets are super fresh and tasty. They are milled in small batches and shipped directly to you, so you know you're getting the freshest food possible. They also use hay from the current crop year, which means it's more nutritious and flavorful than older hay. I've been giving my youngest rabbit "Cookie-Cake" a small amount of these pellets at night as a treat. So far, he goes crazy for these pellets and doesn't leave until every single one is eaten! He's over two years old, so these are no longer suitable as his primary pellet food.I didn't care for how the product is packaged & shipped, though. The company really needs to reconsider their procedures for online sales. The pellets are shipped in a cardboard box with no internal bag. The label is slapped directly on the box, so the thin cardboard is the only protection the pellets have from the elements. It was raining when the UPS guy dropped them off. If I wasn't home to get them, they would have been sitting out in the rain. There was already some signs that the box absorbed some water somewhere along the trip. I know they are trying to be eco-friendly by not using plastic, but sometimes it is just a necessity.

Poultry farm animals really enjoy these pellets
I thought I'd order these as a treat for my poultry. I didn't know if my turkeys or ducks would eat it, but I knew my chickens would for sure. Well, it turns out they all really enjoy it. I use it like a treat for them, especially the ducks and turkeys. Even my Great Pyrenees gets in on the action sometimes though I think that is more out of jealousy than anything else. Anyway, I use it sparingly as a special food to help me gain even more of their trust. They already eat from my hand anyway, but it never hurts to enhance that bond with them on occasion.

Young Rabbit Pallet Food
This young rabbit pallet food was packed in a paper box. The paper box was not in a good condition, pretty old and moist outside. Seems slightly contaminated quite a bit inside. I not sure it still good to feed my rabbit. The package could be better if use a seal plastic bag or plastic bag inside the paper box to protect the pallet, Overall, the ingredients for the pallet were great and rich of nutrients. I believe it's great food for the young rabbit.

Although nutritionally, well-balanced, my rabbit won’t touch them
Our Bunny is normally an absolute pellet, begging fool, nothing is better than pellets in her mind… Except for maybe fresh fruit fruit.I was completely shocked when she completely refused to eat these pellets. Nutritionally everything on the box was a nice blend that should’ve been nutritionally appropriate for her, but she would not touch them. I offered them on several different occasions and she would rather go hungry than eat them.

High quality rabbit food, but the heavy-duty carton is a bit iffy for both shipping & storage...
This is a very high quality rabbit food and I am happy to be able to purchase pet products that are sourced and packaged in the USA. Our rabbit is a bit finicky and it takes awhile before any new food is accepted. I usually try a couple of feedings to see if the rabbit will eat the food, and then if not, I mix in a small amount along with the regular food. As I expected, the food served solo was not eaten. Most of the time, when I try to sneak in some of the new food, the rabbit will just eat around it, but in this case it was all gone. So, I consider that a win.The pellets look and smell very fresh -- they are a variegated greenish color and there are very few broken bits and very little dust. They have a sort of rich and sweet(ish) smell with no musty undertones. As every other reviewer has mentioned, the packaging could be better. The pellets arrived in a cardboard carton. There was no outer plastic wrapping, so I thought the rabbit food might be in a plastic bag inside of the box, but the pellets are loose. I like the idea of sustainable packaging, and this might be fine if the product had been shipped inside of another box or in a large mailer to protect the contents against the elements, but the carton I received just had a shipping label placed on it and arrived as is. The weather happened to be very nice when I received my shipment, and the carton was in perfect condition and everything inside seems fine. But it could just as easily have been raining. The carton does present a bit of a problem for storage as well. It is easy enough to pour from, but five pounds of rabbit pellets is quite a bit, and it will take quite a while for our rabbit use it all up. So, to keep the food as fresh as possible, I will transfer it into a glass jar (I save those large, heavy-duty pickle jars for exactly this reason). The packaging is my only quibble with this product, and the price seems quite reasonable for rabbit food of this quality.
