Photo Light Box for Jewelry and Small Items (12 12")

This is exactly what I had been looking for. When I sell things on eBay I was constantly trying to find a good background and then I always had to deal with shadows that hid detail. This light box has taken car of all the problems associated with taking pictures of small items. This light ox comes with a white and a black background. You can use either to provide contrast. On the upper top and lower bottom, this light box has a little light strip that erases all the shadows! I took me a bit to figure out how to open the box from the way it is packaged. It is not real rigid once assembled but that is not necessary to do the job.I am very happy with this light box and it does what it promises. So at 12X12 I had hoped I could get good pictures of some products that are a little larger but unfortunately the sides/corners are visible and in many anles which would otherwise be great you can see the holes in the backdrop that hook onto the back of the box... that's very awkward looking. I'm also a little dissapointed with the lights. The connection doesn't seem very secure and I worry about connecting and disconnecting the cables a lot. The lights are pretty bright and do illuminate the box but they are not good for shooting items with a shiny/reflective surface as the lights reflect in the surface creating unsightly spots. I believe I may be able to combat this issue by using some type of diffuser, perhaps if I put some tissue paper over them, which I think will cut down on the glare. I think a hole on top for top down images and perhaps a hole cover to allow for additional diffused lighting from the top would be a great addition... I may cut my own hole to do this.It was a little difficult to open at first and there was a side which had become curled and I had to spend a fair amount of time gently straightening it out. However, it does allow me o take much better pictures than I could before. I do love that if folds down pretty flat and small to make storage much easier I also like the concept in general as well as the price range. In retrospect I probably should have gone with a slightly larger one but unfortunately around $20 was my maximum and this was the biggest box with lights I could find for the price range I had. I think it serves it's purpose well enough for the price I paid.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  See my video for a better explanation. I bought this one as the items I wanted to photograph were bigger than the basic jewelry size one and I wanted 12". The way it snaps together leaves a hole on the four corners in the back which the cloths they give you do not cover. If you don't want these holes to show, you must limit your photograph to the center and maybe 10". I can't understand why they would not simply enlarge the size of the drapes and give them side pieces to cover these holes. Due to the holes, I cannot get pictures of my larger items as the holes show.

I’m very impressed with this little box. For the low price, it’s awesome. I was surprised at how much light comes from just those 2 LED strips. I have some small, standing LED lights that I can add if I want to brighten things up a bit more but it’s very nice as it is, and very convenient to just unfold and setup pretty much anywhere. For reference I’ve included some photos of my crochet work which was my main purpose of buying this box. These were taken with just the 2 LED strips and an iPhone have not been edited. Overall, I’m very pleased with this light box and it’s nice to have something small and quick to setup when I don’t want to break out my huge one. The attached lights definitely make it super convenient. Highly recommended.

I would have given this a good review, except that the lights plug into a USB, and the little port that is on the LED lights broke after the second use. I didn't abuse it, simply plugged it in gently, and the piece snapped off, and is now on the charger part. It's not hard to assemble, the plastic is a little stiff, but it's the way the lights plug in that's the problem. It's beyond the time I can return it, and it wouldn't be worth the money to ship it back anyway. Very disappointed.

$20 was too much for this. My first complaint is that the black background included is easily marred just by touching it with your hand. White spots are left which show up in photographs. Attempts to remove the spots just make them worse. My second complaint is that the lights have a yellowish cast, which shows up on anything that is white. It is lightweight and convenient to move from place to place. That's about all I can say that is good.

This small photo light box is ideal for taking pictures of things like jewelry and small gadgets. I had a little trouble opening the box the very first time I used it, but on subsequent uses have had no problem. I was a little skeptical at first that the lighting would be effective at eliminating shadows and photographing well. Surprisingly, the LED light strips illuminate quite well for my purposes. It is very portable and does not take up much space. It comes with a couple of cloth backgrounds. I have only used the white background, which was great for a dark piece of jewelry and other items that you want to stand out.If you need something small that doesn't cost a lot of money or if you have a very small to non-existent equipment budget, this small photo light box sold by Cofunia is a great buy!

As a crafter a photo box was the best way to showcase my work off for better sale. The only thing bad I can say is that the corner are holes which means your items have to be SUPER small to ensure you don’t catch the holes in your photo. I have to get a bigger size to ensure my camera does not catch the holes in the shot.
