I feel secure knowing I can grab this in the shower and it does look good as well if you might wonder.

I installed the handicap bar, but the cover ring covering the bracket is too big

this shower grab bar is the best I have had so far. it is very sturdy and not slippery. After 4 months of using it in the shower-looks like new.

This is a no frills handle that comes with all of the parts needed to mount it. It is made of steel that is painted white. Appears to be good quality and made of nice material. Again, nothing fancy in this thing, but if you just need an affordable, basic handrail then this will fit the bill.

This grab bar doesn't have the textured grab area. I did not take off any stars because this is still a really nice grab bar. It's a nice size for your hand to hold securely. We got it to use beside our toilet. So the issue of no texture is not a problem. I would prefer a textured bar inside the shower. It looks nice in the black matte finish. It comes with all the mounting hardware. Has three holes to help make it extra secure. You just to locate your studs before installing. Installation was fast and easy. It matches all the black hardware in our bathroom. It also shows you can use it as a towel bar as well. It's a nice grab bar.
