Way more than I expected - the picture does not do justice
This set is so absolutely beautiful. I had no idea it would be so fabulous. Each and every piece are of the highest quality I've ever seen. And I know Le Creuset products cook food to precision and the meals come out better than you ever expect. I bought this set for a gift for my sister, and I'm so pleased and glad and proud that I did. She loves cooking, and I so know she will get many years of joy utilizing these fantastic pieces. Really, I was blown away. Thank you Le Creuset producing and offering such exquisitely fine products, and thank you Amazon for having it in your stock and shipping it so securely and promptly. I'm a VERY happy - thrilled even - very blessed customer. Thank you.

A good Multi-Pot
Made in China, the description does not mention that and I had asked the question and received no answer. That being said, this is a very well made and weighty Pot. The inserts are a little thin and flex if pushed, but not during cooking. I am replacing 30 year old Calphalon and considered many brands. I think Le Creuset Stainless is the best of the Chinese made brands, not quite as good as some American or European made ones. Fit and finish are very good and after a couple months of use I am happy with my choice.

LOVE this little multipot!
I do a lot of steaming and wanted a steamer with a larger capacity, and also wanted a 5-6 quart stockpot, and WOW! This is just GREAT! I probably won't use the pasta insert much, but who knows - I just love this pot so much that I might have to start eating pasta. It is gorgeous looking, and very lightweight! Half the overall size of the big 12 quart multipots, but so much more functional for my needs.

After a year, I avoid making pasta, I dislike this pot so much.
I have a back problem and wanted something that I could move from sink to stove and back without hurting myself. This weighs a ton by itself, let alone filled with water! I avoid making pasta to avoid using it.The directions say to heat water over medium heat. I use filtered water and can't run hot water through my filter. The first time I tried to use the pot, it took 45 minutes to heat enough water for 12 oz of pasta. After that I decided I could live with discoloration.I tried 3 times to use the steam vegetables, without success. The steamer insert has small holes in the bottom, none on the sides, and perches on top of the bottom pot. So little steam got through the tiny holes and so much escaped around the bottom of the insert that the veggies took 3 times as long to cook and those on the bottom of the insert were mushy and those at the top weren't done.

Looks great
These look great and I am sure they do all they are supposed to in spreading heat out.Hoever, the handles heat up, requiring the constant use of over glove/cloth.A different design would be much more convenient. The inner lips and grooves make keeping these clean troublesome.

Chrismas gift
Ordered this product for my wife and she loves it -- she already wants a bigger set. HIGH quality product (c'mon, it's Le Creuset!), very durable, already used multiple times -- very happy. Thanks!

Steamer insert fail
I bought this pot direct from the manufacturer's website. The pot is thick walled and of sturdy construction. It is easy to keep a consistent low-simmer without burning soups or boiling-over stocks that need long cooking times. Oh, and the pasta insert is a nice addition, making it easy to remove cooked pasta all at once for transfer.OTOH, the steamer insert is badly designed. As others here have pointed out, the steamer is much smaller in capacity than the pot itself, only steams from the bottom up, and fits so poorly on top of the pot that steam escapes every which way. The pasta insert makes a much better steamer, so I use that instead of the frustrating steamer insert to steam veggies. It just works better.Because the steamer insert is such a fail, I deducted a star from what is otherwise a very impressive and useful cooking vessel.
