I love the smell of this. It's a rich, silky feeling hair cream with an interesting, pleasant scent. I used it on my freshly washed, damp hair. The instructions advise working through from root to tip, but I always avoid applying moisturising products right at the roots, as I'd usually then need to wash again sooner. My hair was extremely soft after blow drying, but still required a bit of a flat iron to tone flyaway hair down.You can also use this on dry hair – my daughter has very thick, wavy hair which benefits from extra moisture to accentuate the waves, and this was nice to scrunch into the ends, and had the desired effect.I probably would have given this product five stars was it not for the fact the pump doesn't work. It's like a handwash, where you have to twist the top til it pops up – but no amount of twisting made the nozzle pop, and so to use the product, I had to take the lid off and wipe the conditioner on to my had off the tube. It's all very well having a sustainable glass bottle, but it would have been considerably more sustainable if it had been resuable, and as the bottle becomes more empty, I think it will be hard to tip just the right amount out.
