Beginner Guitar is Great so Far!
I had been shopping for an inexpensive bass guitar to learn on, when I came across the Ktaxon Electric Bass. I ordered one and it was delivered much sooner than promised or expected. I opened the box and found myself amazed at how well this guitar looked and felt. It is well built and was easy to set up (tune). The included speaker is nothing to boast about, but it is for the beginner and works very well for what it is meant for. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this product to anyone else looking for a low cost beginner base guitar.

Great instrument with its own identity (Warning on import fees for Panama)
I am happy with this bass. It is exactly what I expected: the finish is great, the neck is perfectly straight right out of the box, and it has a really solid sound. The only downside was the logistics. Shipping it to Panama ended up costing me more than the bass itself due to import fees. I realized I could have bought a generic 'Fender replica' locally for less money. However, I prefer this bass because it stands on its own. It has a unique headstock design and isn't trying to trick anyone into thinking itโs a big brand name. It feels authentic and I don't have to explain to people that it's a 'copy.' If you are international, check your customs fees, but the instrument itself is fantastic for the price.

Worth a try for beginners
I forgot to take pictures but itโs a good buy for a beginner. The finish looks good and it looks exactly like the picture. The sound quality with the amp sounds good and it comes with other items so itโs a good value for the money for all of whatโs provided with the guitar. Letโs pray itโs durable

Internal wiring was defective on arrival. Pretty good otherwise.
Looked good on the outside. Body felt strong yet lightweight. Strings were a bit thinner than the ones I am used to on another bass and sounds very different, but it plays well with all 3 styles, so the action level is probably calibrated correctly. Wasn't tuned out of the factory, and I'm not sure how well it keeps its tuning just yet. Almost immediately I felt something was amiss when fiddling with the volume and tone knobs. I opened the lid on the back and to my disappointment, the hot wire for the bridge pickup was completely disconnected and unsoldered, which is why I was only getting sound from the neck pickups. Not sure what the defect rate is, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume I got the short end of the stick. These cheap punks are lucky that I'm good with a soldering iron. Also as many other reviewers say, the amp it comes with is junk. Get yourself a proper bass amp from Fender or an audio interface to plug it into your PC. Overall, great value for your money especially if you're only just getting into playing bass, but expect to do some maintenance, get extra gear to support it later, or even re-string it.

Great buy! Instrument is solid. Amp is mostly useless.
I got this for my son as a starter bass, and it was a good buy. Required minimal setup. Has good tone. Playable right out of the box (after tuning, of course). Looks sharp. I have a Glarry bass, and I strongly suspect that these were made in the same factory. Everything is identical to mine, including the headstock design. It is an excellent value. The only downside to this package is that the amp that comes with it is absolutely not designed to be a bass amp and is relatively useless, so you will need to purchase an actual bass amp.

5 string not in same class as the 4's
I have had good experiences with Glarry/Ktaxon/Irin products in general. Have bought, gifted or helped setup about 9 of them and they all have been very playable requiring only fine tuning on the setup. I am used to the thicker necks that need sanding and some oil and the moderate output from the electronics, but those are acceptable for the price range. The two 5 string basses I have had experience with do not match up to this standard. The pickups are not matched to the string separation so the poles do not align with the strings (B and G strings have especially weak outputs). This can even be seen in their promotional photos, so not an accident. Additionally, I have noticed mis-aligned bridges that were uncentered, in one case enough that the saddles were pulled at an angle and B string was almost off the fretboard near the high end of the neck. Overall, I can say I trust the 4's, beware of the 5's.
