Wacom ACK627K Stand, for Mobile Studio Pro 13" & 16" (Dthw1320 & Dthw1620)

I had been waiting for this stand to come out for a while, but completely forgot about it until I saw a review of it online. It's sturdy, well made piece of metal, so it's pretty heavy. But aside from the heft, I really like the low profile of it when it's stowed away, and the fact that it is attached to the back of my MSP16. I don't need to remember to carry a separate stand anymore. The 3 adjustment levels are good enough for what I need it to do. One thing to note is that it makes a loud clack/slap noise when I unhinge it from the tablet, I'm guessing this is normal, but it sounds horrible when I do it.

Excellent stand! Fits the MobileStudio Pro like a glove. It's really cool that this stand attaches to the machine so that I never have to carry them separately. It virtually adds no width to the tablet and is incredibly comfortable to use. The clicking noise when attaching and removing parts of the stand can be a little loud and scary at first but I quickly got addicted to it. The stand is very stable. It allows me to lean on the tablet freely while using it to draw or write. I often use the tablet standing up with an attached keyboard and mouse combo for a classic laptop usage experience.

I was skeptical about this after my experience with the older Cintiq. This thing is pretty awesome. For one thing, it is metal rather than the old plastic. Still should have been included with the Mobile Studio Pro and $99 is way too much, but it is awesome.

This won’t stay on the companion at all, horrible design. It’s completely useless to me.

I really love this stand...once I got it to attached to my MobileStudio 16. Unfortunately, the instructions didn't specify that on some models, the brackets on the back would need to be replaced in order to attach the stand. I put so much pressure on my tablet trying to get the stand to attach and click into the original brackets that I'm a little skittish I might have damaged it, a copper plate on the inside top looks a hair bent, but everything seems to still be working. After a few weeks of no luck, wondering what in the world was wrong with me that I couldn't attach it when every Youtube video showed folks putting it on just fine, I remembered there was an extra little packet in the box and shook out some brackets and screws, and a little booklet that unfolded to say that if you're having trouble attaching the stand, you might need to replace the brackets. It would have been really nice to have a note to that effect on the main instructions. The booklet instructions were beneath the main fold and not visible at first glance. Now, since I replaced the brackets, it works great. Clicks in fine, holds well. I'm still a little wary that I might have damaged it--I put nearly half my 120 pounds on the thing trying to get the first brackets to click into the stand--but all seems well. So if you're having trouble, grab those brackets and replace them ASAP! I am disappointed, however, that a stand that took Wacom over a year to come out with (I got my MSP near release, and have been using an Artisul stand that was decent but not open-backed and made the MSP get really hot) had such a defect on my tablet brackets and no very visible instructions on what to do about it. I love Wacom products, but that wasn't fun at all, thinking I've possibly damaged my 3000 tablet trying to get a stand to work. Will I buy from Wacom again? Absolutely. Their tablets are the best of any I've tried--I have a Cintiq 22" and my MSP and used them daily in my work. But I sincerely hope Wacom listens to customer feedback and makes their products and instructions more user-friendly.

I really like this stand—It makes it much more easy for me to use my laptop w/ my 16" cintiq pro, and i like all the angles. However, I really dislike that it's $90. It's well made and improves my working experience a lot, but I feel that it should sell for about $50

It is super slim, love the 3 levels. I am always on the go and every now and then use it on a train finally feels so comfortable with the stand. Very sturdy structure. Great product overall.

I can understand why some people might have a difficult time adjusting to their height, but sadly I'm short LOL So the adjustments fit very well with my height when I sit and with my current set up.
