How does this hold up to occasional chewing? My 8 month old is teething and chewing on everything.

I have not had a problem with this, my 8 month old is teething & chewing as well...we do not have any teeth yet though. Be sure to wipe surface clean & dry prior to application and you should be fine. :)

What is the actual size (width x thickness) of the protector？

The thickness is about 1/8 inch and the width is about 3/4 inch. They are medium firm with good protection.
