Great!
If you're gonna have a bike seat for your child that can be exchanged between two bikes, you definitely need two racks and usually both have different tires so you need two sizes.

Just wish there was more tire clearance
I have this brand of rack on my 27in mountain bike, but I recently bought a 29er. On my 27in mx bike, the rack (the 27in version) provides much more clearance between the rack and tire. See the 29er version clearance in the picture. This may just be my bike. It doesn’t rub that I’ve noticed, but I wish there was more space. Also, I purchased the longer arms and that made all the difference. I don’t think the bike seat would work on my bike using the attachment arms that came with the rack. It feels really sturdy though and I love this bike seat for my little one!

Are you kidding me? Major disappointment, requires extra parts- AGAIN!
We are on vacation and purchased the Topeak child seat which has a rack that does NOT fit a 29 incher - it just sits on the tire! So, we did some research and learned that we need a bigger rack that is specific for a 29'er AND disk brakes. A pain, but we order the specific rack for the 29'er. We wait for nearly 5 days for the item to arrive. Thank you amazon for getting it to us 1 day early! So excited to put this new bracket on and get riding with out little one. Oh, wait, there's barely a millimeter of space between the top of the rack where the child seat sits, and the tire! This cannot be safe with a CHILD on the back?! Research further and it seems we also need the extra long arm brackets to install this. Those extra long arm brackets that fasten to either side if the frame under the seat (horizontally), do NOT come with the original product. They also do NOT come with the 29 inch larger bracket- are you kidding me? Insane amount of hassle. Start providing the longer arm brackets with the 29 inch!! You know the child seat requires them to give the bracket and seat enough clearance over the tire! Not to mention, it's not like we are transporting a block of wood here, we are counting on Topeak to give us a SAFE and reliable method to ride a bicycle with our precious children! I have called the 1800 # to get customer support and no one answered. The option was to leave a message for a call back, which I have done. Enormous disappointment and infuriating that we spent hundreds of dollars to be able to go on a family bike ride that cannot happen due to Topeaks failure to provide the appropriate support brackets!

Fitting wont work for Mountain bike
I have Trek Roscoe 7 and tried to install the topeak child carrier on it, it 27.5 inch so I bought the 27.5 inch rack and did not fit! the rack is right on top of the tire! so there is no way for it to move, then I tried the 29 inch rack to have move room on top my tire, now the bracket does not reach the bike frame, so with a lot of trying I was able to extend the bracket by attaching another one to it, at the end it worked but with a lot of afford. Summery: this would only fit the 27.5 inch mountain bike, also you will need to buy the extra Long bracket, the standard one won’t reach the bike frame!

Does the job carrying the child
Does the job carrying the child, but i really dont understand why they have to make four models of it. 29" or regular wheel size. With or without disc brakes. The difference is so negligible (additional 1/2" of metal), they could make 1 type to fit all. prices are also the same. I just imagine they made all those variants to try and charge more for the "special" ones, but frankly, it just annoys the customer, when you gotta buy another one for another type of bike

Very disappointed as we were headed out on vacation so happy ...
Very disappointed as we were headed out on vacation so happy to see the box show up only to find no mounting hardware was included, no bolts, nothing to extend out to the frame, zip nada... We had bought another one of these so we knew what to expect, the packaging also was pretty flaky... Now we're going to have to spend the time to get the right hardware... Unless these guys can send us what we need?
