Love the jar, and the fragrance, burns slowly so likely has many hours to burn. A bit pricey

I have bought this candle several times now. This last time was a Christmas gift from my husband. I love the packaging and branding - the amber glass container and the glass stopper top are classic but more stylish than most jar candles. It burns clean and is long lasting. I wish there was a *little* more longevity in this candle, but soy candles tend to burn a little faster than all-paraffin. It's worth the trade-off for a cleaner burning candle. The scent is AMAZING. It is perfectly balanced between patchouli and sweet tobacco. I really like both scents on their own but this makes for a very nice blend. It feels like the perfect blend of masculine and feminine. It is strong enough to fill my living room which is fairly large but not overwhelming at all. Love this candle!

I liked this candle, had a nice scent and lasted longer than I expected

I don’t know if you can tell but the flame every time i light it is so small for some reason. It’ll go out without with me it out which is kind of annoying. It smells amazing though! I want it burning all the time but it got harder to stick lighter in there with my hand so I had to start using matches. I don’t think I’d buy it again but it’s not a bad candle. Also the first one I got came completely shattered but I got a free replacement

My favorite candle ever! First of all, the throw of this candle is AMAZING. After less than 5 minutes of lighting it up, the scent covers my entire studio. Even though the scent is strong, it is not overpowering. It truly has a nice woody, earthy scent to it and I always get compliments whenever guests come over. The look (shape/color/material) of the candle is not only unique and beautiful, but functional --the mouth/opening of the candle is narrower than the base, which gives me a sense of assurance (and relieve my paranoia) of the candlelight catching fire to anything around it. The only "downside" to this is that I have to use a candle lighter to get past the narrow opening, but it's not a problem for me since I own one. Many people who come over and ask about the scent get thrown off by the "tobacco", and if you are one of these people, don't worry. I know what you're thinking, but it's not going to smell anything like a burning cigarette lol. Perfect for a gift --GET IT!

I love this candle so much! It smells amazing and burns for hours! The scent is so calming to me I love it. My only complaint is the this top of the jar kinda hard to light.

I bought this candle hoping for the best. Some of the reviews were mixed, but its overall rating persuaded me to give it a chance. The scent is pleasant enough. Here are the notes that Paddywax lists for this candle: Top Notes: Cinnamon, Nutmeg Middle Notes: Patchouli, Vetiver Base Notes: Tobacco, Sandalwood, Creamy Vanilla I get the spices and vanilla, but for me the tobacco, sandalwood, and patchouli are a distant second which is a shame - those were the notes I bought the candle for. The real problem is that on lighting it for the first time, it immediately began that tunnel effect - it burned straight down. I left it burning for several hours hoping it would melt completely from side to side but that did not happen. The candle measures 3" across - the wax only melted a deep circle 1" across. That's a lot of wasted wax for a candle that was rather expensive for the size! Additionally, the scent was hard to smell further than a few feet from the candle. Needless to say, I won't be buying Paddywax candles again.

Most of the candles I have ordered without smelling are just kind of meh....but not this one. This is my new favorite scent. I have burnt about half of it and it leaves an amazing faint smell of tobacco and patchouli. I love love love this scent and will absolutely be buying more. I wish they made a room spray or a perfume in this scent!!! Just be super careful when you unwrap it from its packing paper. The lid on the jar isn't attached with a seal. Mine fell off and broke right out of the box. Very cool apothecary jars that can be reused. I have bought northern lights whiskey and tobacco candle...which isn't even in the same league as the Paddywax candles. The smell of this candle is much stronger and distinct and you can actually smell it when it's lit. Can't say enough good things about Paddywax tobacco and patchouli!!

This is my go-to scent for a warm cozy house. Not only is the scent great, but the glow of the amber canister is beautiful as well. I have always experienced a slow burn with the candle too, lasts a nice long time. Plus the order shipping was so fast!

After the one supplier stopped selling these candles in Brisbane, Australia I am now having to order directly from the U.S. But the quality of these candles is amazing and they last for a long time. The delivery was swift and excellently packaged!

Love the smell. Would’ve bought the bigger candle if it wasn’t so pricey. A favourite candle.
