Coco Treasure Organic Coconut Sugar - 1 Pound (Pack of 2)

I try to eat healthy and eat a lot of fruit, strawberries and blueberries in particular, this sugar sweetened perfectly. I have tried other coconut sugars but this one had a lighter flavor and none of the over cooked flavor some of the others have. I would say it's sort of like a "raw" sugar, golden caramel color, no coconut flavor or taste, dissolved instantly and was a nice addition to my green tea. It came in a ziptop pouch which was convenient. I read this comes from the coconut blossom not the actual coconut and that's why it doesn't taste like coconut. It's true but I can't seem to get my brain around that one. It tasted great, better than others so I give it 5 stars and will definitely buy it again.

I've bought this in different brands. This is consistent with what I've bought in the past. Recognize that the coconut sugar has a very distinct taste. I use it for my coffee and it darkens the coffee after I've added the milk as well as bring a heaviness to it. But I like it enough and it's better than plain sugar.

I used this as a brown sugar substitute in my peach cobbler Muffins. Coconut sugar has a lower glycemic index than regular table sugar & since I'm a Type II diabetic, that's important to me! The muffins were delicious, my blood sugar remained in normal range after I ate them. I have numerous recipes that call for brown sugar, which I can now cook worry free, so I can enjoy having a dessert now and then.. Woohoo!

Good taste..i compared it against other organic brands.I would not give it a 5 star for the packing.Seal was ripped on one corner.bad packaging.

This sugar is somewhat similar to turbinado or demerara sugar, but with a finer texture and unique flavor and aroma. Blends well with coffee or tea and I'm sure other uses that call for sugar. It's organic, so give it a try!

I love using coconut sugar in curry recipes. It is darker and has an earthy flavor to its sweetness. It is also delicious in chocolate recipes. You will love this as much as I do!! Don't be afraid because it's dark in color !

does not leave any odd taste in my coffee and i use the equivalent amount i would for regular sugar.

Helps my blood sugar without sacrificing flavor. Great in coffee, on ice cream, and on cereal and fruit. No need for regular sugar again!
