These are NOT extra long pine needles, most being 4-6 inches, and a rare cluster at 9 inches...not suitable for basket making. They did issue me a full refund when I complained the text and picture did not represent their product.

Arrived in some sort of smelly liquid, which I suspect was to prevent mold. As the needles dried, they became very mottled. That, plus the fact that they are short and stubby, make them very unusable for basket weaving.

I was looking for needles that were longer than the ones I've been able to get around here. The ad promises Long Pine needles . These were fresh but they weren't long. For pine needle baskets it most efficient to have needles that are 8-12 inches so you don't have to add them at every stitch.

I got them for my Mother. She said she had never seen needles that long. She loves them. Thank you.

They are pine needles, but it wasn't close to 300 of them, more like 200. So there's that. Count better, guys, what the heck! I've gone back to school as a middle-aged adult, and I'm in this materials and methods class -- I was talked into taking it by the teacher who was like, "Andy, you'll love it!" and she told me the stuff we were going to do in class, BUT . . . she never said nothing about no pine needle baskets! If she had, I wouldn't've taken the class. She knows. No offense, I love organic baskets and the skill people put into them, but I have a very hard time manipulating in the third dimension. I KNOW MY LIMITS! So anyway, the dude on my bowling team is always all "How's your basket-weaving class going?" and I go "How's your bowling game going?" and he walks off pouting because he sucks sucks SUCKS! So, long story short, I thought 300 LONG needles would do me right so I could finish this project . . . which I did finish, but I had to get more needles.
