Best choice
The device works wonders at keeping unwanted bugs at bay, making outdoor meals and gatherings much more enjoyable. The rechargeable battery lasts impressively long between charges, so I never worry about it running out during my extended use. Overall, this product has exceeded my expectations and is a fantastic addition to my outdoor bbq and pool area. We highly recommended for anyone in need of reliable fly control!

Look professional and work! Remove the sound emitter.
We saw these at the W in Costa Rica, and their ones successfully kept away the flies, so I had to get some! I looked for ones that were rechargeable (alkaline batteries corrode and that's something I didn't want to deal with), and didn't want to have unnecessary LED lights. These are a good size and function great... except everyone could hear the insect repelling sound, so I opened them up and removed the speaker disc!

Not clear that higher price buys better value - inconsistent fan speeds, drooping blades
I read that Fly Away was a popular name brand in fly fans with an implied higher quality and reliability. I decided to spring for the Ultra for its slightly taller height powered by a rechargeable battery vs. the standard's lower height powered by disposable batteries. Note that popular AI apps cite there is no evidence that ultrasonic sounds deter flying insects, so this feature of these Ultra model fans was not a consideration in my purchase. I purchased two 2-packs to get four fans. This represented a 3x higher cost per unit over similar 4-packs from other vendors, but I hoped I was investing in a higher quality, more reliable product than what I feared I might get with a more unknown brand name. The fans came packaged satisfactorily, although it seemed one of the packages might have been a resealed returned product compared to the other. That's always an advantage of buying more than one of the same product - you can compare packaging. I unboxed both pairs, lined them up on my kitchen counter, and turned them on. They all powered up fine, but one was noticeably slower than the others and, as a result, the blades drooped dramatically. Hoping this was due to a low charge, I charged them all to full (green light) and repeated the experiment - same fan was still noticeably slower and droopier. Having kept track of which fans came from which boxes, I noted that the slowest, droopiest fan came from the repackaged box. Further, I noted the fan speed was generally inconsistent across all four units, which I did not expect in a quality product. Also, I noted that the blades generally drooped a bit by design, which was particularly noticeable on the slower fans. Since I paid a premium for slightly taller units, I was disappointed that this advantage was somewhat negated by drooping blades. I suppose I could have tried bending the blades so they drooped less, but this felt like a hack that might leave me with misshapen blades, possibly posing a challenge if I were to request warranty service or return the product. My application used three fans hanging upside down (using each unit's retractable hook) above an outdoor table and one fan upright on a serving side table. I was very pleased with the appearance and performance of the hanging units (no blade droop when hung upside down). However, the upright unit's blades were a little too low to easily spoon burrito ingredients like salsa, peppers, onions, cilantro out of shallow bowls without the blades whacking the ingredients off the spoons. Perhaps elevating the units would help, but too high could lose effectiveness. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the effectiveness of the fans at deterring flies because I only used them once, at an early evening dinner party for which it turns out flies were not a problem. That said, I am not here to debate whether fly fans work or don't work; I believe it is a foregone conclusion that this technology has merit when used properly. To wrap this up, I concluded that the 3x cost difference was likely not justified - inconsistent fan speeds, generally drooping blades - so I returned both 2-packs. I will test my theory by purchasing a much-less-expensive but similarly-featured 4-pack for which I will also likely post a review. If I would have kept the product (implying that it generally met my needs but not perfectly), I would have rated 4 stars. Since I returned the product (implying that it did not meet my needs), I rated 3 stars.

Great device, but LEDs don’t work
Gifted to a relative as a retirement gift. They were excited to try it. It pair has worked well except for the LED indicator lights that don’t seem to work. They do not work on the new set either

Does not keep tiny bugs away
I live on the west coast of Florida. We have little bugs called "no see-ums". They are tiny enough to fit through lanai screens. I was hoping the fan placed on our small outdoor dining would generate enough air movement to keep the bugs away. The air movement generated by the fan is not powerful enough to keep the bugs away. The fan is not meeting my needs.

Uno de los cuatro que compré, a los pocos días de uso, ya no enciende por posible falla en el botón de encendido. Por lo demás, funcionan bien y cumplen su objetivo.
