What is the difference between this product and the waterfall version? Are both suitable to put on the floor in a sensory room for a child to touch?

The sensory one is cut by hot knife so the fiber optic cable is not easy to fall out compare to this. And the fiber optic cable is sparkle fiber optic cabke, it is more beautiful than this light kit.

How do i activate the sound?

It doesn't have sound it reacts to sound from what I can make out. Using the remote. Talk or play music and the lights react to it. Hope this helps. If you discover otherwise please let me know.

u can set pritty white as any color you want

Mark star points on the board - drill holes - insert fiber into the holes of the board over 5cm - fix with hot melt adhesive or glass cement - straighten and tie up the fiber make it not to be tangled- connect the fiber and light engine then test the light - clip off the excess length of the fiber from beneath to keep the board smooth
