Stormsure Flexible Repair Adhesive 3x5g (Black) - Strong, Highly Durable Bonding Adhesive for Waterproof, Flexible Repairs

Stormsure is fantastic, and I found small tubes more convenient because the glue can solidify in time after being opened.

The Stormsure flexible repair adhesive in these little tubes is ideal. The glue has a reasonable working time of a couple of hours, so no panic about aligning a join, but the converse to this is that one needs to arrange a means of holding the join in position. It also tends to spread around while unobserved, so the restraints securing the pieces might also become bonded to the work! Be aware, once the seal is broken on a tube the contents will set in a few weeks regardless of closing the top. Often we only need a small amount, as I did to fix a tiny split in my MDPE 300litre rain water storage tank, hence my choice of the small tubes. The glue secures a small scrap of rubber sheet off-cut over the split, and also for as far as the split might travel to. Alas, some of the gaffer tape I used to hold the patch in place has now become part of the repair. The tank is now full, and no leak and only one unsightly patch. And I still have some more little tubes for repairing the next leaks.

This stuff is outstanding. It's so strong. Works brilliantly on shoe repairs. However it will dry up in the tube if not used quickly.

Works well but remains shinny so can be seen on Matt surface. Haven’t tried an abrasive to remove shine as it’s done the job I needed it for.

You might think this is not such good value for only 15g, as some other items contain 28g for not much more money. However my consistent experience using isocyanate glues is that whatever you do to prolong its life, the rest of the glue not used on the first day sets in the tube and gets thrown away. So, three small tubes is a good idea, and this deal is the best on A at present for 3x5g. The glue is not easy to use neatly at the best of times, and this brand seems to be more liquid than Aquasure, which makes it harder to use for gap-filling. It soon disappears into holes, so you have to add plenty. It would also be helpful if the manufacturers told you what solvent to use when you inevitably get some on your clothes or fingers. (Tthe supplied disposable gloves are not practical when you need to have fine control of the tube!) . Despite all this, these glues are the best way to repair neoprene equipment and synthetic shoe soles imo, and the repairs are durable.

This was excellent to fix the sole and surrounds on my favourite walking boots and trekking shoes (both Adidas Terrex). It bonds overnight, is flexible and waterproof. You have to use a bit of common sense in applying it and making sure you get pressure applied where you need it - I used black tape to secure it while bonding. This is an excellent glue and well worth a little time and effort. Nothing else I have used has been 100% effective like this. 5 stars.

Having three small tubes is great because such things tend to dry out after first use. I used it first to fill a hole in the sole of a new boot that I had punctured on a nail. The stuff shrinks a little but I applied it several times, and the boot has never leaked. I used it on another occasion to glue two things that didn't need great strength, but plenty of time to adjust their alignment.

I used this to repair a few small tears in my convertible top. For the 1/2" long tears, it was easy to apply and seal. But I had a couple of longer 2" tears that were difficult to repair because the glue kept running down from the tear. Based on my experience, place some material on the inside of the top and apply the adhesive from the outside, smooth it out with piece of plastic or wooden popsicle stick. The inside material will get stuck but the outside repair will looks decent. The tears are now sealed and no more wind noise. Waiting for rain to see if the repairs are water resistant. I also used this adhesive to repair/re-palm my hockey gloves. I cut up a pair of leather garden gloves and used the palm and finger tips to glue on my hockey gloves. The palm hadn't worn through yet so I applied the adhesive to the leather patch and glued the patch on the glove palm. The thumbs had worn through so I glued leather patches on the inside and outside of glove. After letting it dry 24 hours, the patches are secure and the leather remain flexible. Economical repair of $100 gloves.
